Power Windows
So i have a tired power window system. Not sure what to do either. The windows go down seemingly fine, kinda stick, but going up takes a long time and i cant roll some up with my set of switches. I cleaned the insides with windex and it just seemed to worsen the problem. Where should i start? Is it the door trim rubber that is causing too much friction? Part electrical issues? Thanks

What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
I fixed my heater controll unit problem. It didnt used to switch between defrost, bi level, etc, but now it does! Cleaned out some sand from wheeling months ago. Bought jumper cables and am using an old cooler for supplies and tools in the back.

What Im workin on now.....Update: IT LIVES!!!
So.... my 2 cents on the smoke stacks. I never was a fan of the big diesel trucks running around town with the same set up coming out of the bed till i saw an old ford f150 the other day. The changing factor was the fact he didn't seem to be looking for tons of attention in the height of the stacks. His stacks were level with the bed of the truck. I think the same would look great with your brat! Oh and i dont know if there have been projected plans in this write up, but are you lifting it higher? Looks great!

Heater contorl unit repair.
So i have recently taken apart my dash in hopes to fix my heater controls. Current problems are: Only the 2 highest fan speeds and only blows on the BI-Level. ( i did replace the knob sensor for the fan speeds, but no change. Oh and put in another used heater blower motor with no change) Not huge issues cause i still have hot air though. But it rained and made me realize i need a defrost function still. Those little vacuum lines dont seem to be pinched that come off the back. Maybe when i re assemble it they become pinched? Anyone have any luck with these issues?

Sand dunning questions
Ok here are some pics for now. I need to collect more. I didn't wheel it too hard for fear of breaking parts, but still got it stuck in sketchy places. I think it would of been a lot more fun with the DR tranny, or the EJ swap so i could power through sections but still worth the trip! Oh some commentary on the pics- First- I was dubbed the "chase vehicle" So i was packed with the gas, porta potie bucket (never used) blankets, pick nick food, and my camping gear. I actually slept in the back 2 nights. Not too bad. Second, this is in the white wash sand dunes. Kind of a horseshoe bend area. Third, i was feeling confident about my speed, but yes i am buried to the axles and floorboards on this one. The picture doesn't do it justice, it seemed to be on the point of rolling. Fourth, another pic of the horseshoe area. Jeep pictured is an 80 cj-5 rebuilt by me and my dad years ago. FI 258 6cyl, and converted to T5 5 speed. Oh and my super random sister doing dumb poses. Fifth, just back at camp. Loading up for the day. It was overall a great trip! I surpirsed many by what the subaru can do stock and even surpirsed myself because there were no issues mechanically at all. Just a squeaky door. hope this helps anyone looking to do some sand dune fun in thier subaru. It made a world of difference airing down the tires also. I ran about 18 psi in the front, and 13 in the rears. Enjoy!

Clearing Codes
Car is a 94 Loyale wagon. EA82 So i have gotten hung up on the clearing codes issue. The repair page tells me somewhat vaguely - Connect "Self-Diagnostic" connectors, and the "Read Memory" connectors that are usually located right next to the diagnostic connectors. The problem i have is where are these connectors?! I looked under the dash near the steering wheel for any connectors this color and came up with nothing. (it was in the dark with a flashlight though) Just to re assure me, are they under the dash or under the hood?! Thanks for the help.

What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
Off roaded it in the sand dunes, then drove it 200 miles back home without any issues. Other than the annoying CEL and speedo sticking at 75. Loved every minute of it though.

Ok just barely got back, and tired! I will get all the photos from the trip from the family tomorrow and report back. Good news! It made it under its own power there and back with no problems! I love my Subaru.

Question on 4wd...
Shoot! I put mine in 4wd in the gravel or snow and its donut/drift heaven! It a stock 94 Loyale. I have had issues with the vacuum system and cant wait to get the DR tranny, but the biggest hang up is leaking or improperly connected vacuum lines.

Sand dunning questions
Me and the Fam are going down next Wednesday. They are all big jeeping nuts so Thursday we are doing jeeping off roading, then Thursday sand dunes around white wash or sand hollow area. Then Saturday me and my brother are going to either ride dirt jumps, or some slick rock on our dirt jumping bikes. I'm crossing my fingers the Loyale makes it down. I just finished replacing just about everything you can to make it reliable short of timing belt.

Flickering Oil Light solved!
So to refresh memories, i swapped motors from my 90 loyale into a clean body 94 loyale. The new one doesn't have a oil pressure gauge unfortunately, but the old one did. So there was hardware that needed to be swapped. I dont know the technical names, but the newer body/gauge cluster didn't need the oil pressure gold small pumpkin thing hanging near the oil filter. It just needed a plug in that place, and in the existing plugs place a different simpler sensor that the wire connects to. Sorry for the lack of names, but hopefully this might help someone else out there. One more light off the dash!

What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
I like the RX body kit! Today i replaced my belts, rivited some sheet metal where rust ate all the way through my front fender, switched out oil pressure sending unit for proper unit on my newer body, adjusted idle, and cut away some rust underneath! Good day.

How to solve CEL code 55
I am getting the temp sensor code on my loyale and have tried switching out the sensor with another used one. Still have the code. No guarantees the other used one is good though. What actually needs to be done with this code? Is there something besides just replacing the sensor? Thanks

Sand dunning questions
Sorry for the long awaited reply. I will be hitting up the white wash sand dune area. The motor is running pretty good, but i am on the skinny 13" so i am kinda worried now. Any one had experience with my same set up?
