destruction of Gen 1's is typically frowned upon just get a gen2 wagon, more power, 4wd hi/lo, and beat on it to your hearts content.

im 6' on the nose and never had a comfort problem with an EA81. and i have driven all of them! (except the coupe)

is this because the seats are closer together on the bracket? so i would need to get gen 1 headrests? on a side note, I just won the jumpseats on Ebay. $82.00 with bracket and they are close so I am hoping I can just pick them up. X 2

I have a line on a set of jumpseats from a 1981 Brat, my question is are they the same as the 1982 models? and if not, how hard would it be to retrofit them?

hows this: the wreath really might be worth the extra $$$$, really gives the design a good flow. i could always make the edges simpler to save moneys.

dont know if anyone mentioned it yet, but when you start the car does the little red light on the in-dash volts guage come on for a sec? if not your excite circuit could be borked, and the alt will not charge properly.

i believe they both had snap on caps, the rotors are diffrent as well. IIRC the hitachi has a lower profile rotor than the nippon. best way to tell is just pull your rotor in the parking lot and compare it with the one they give you.

Did they ever make a woodgrain kit for the gen 2 brats? I know they did for the gen 1.

so I thought I would share my progress, after a full tune-up the engine is a lot happier, a new rad is next. Passed DEQ with no problem. On the exterior, the brat is now sporting a new bumper and freshly painted a-bar. The wheels have now been cleaned up and painted again. Heres a few teaser pics, sans canopy (needs a non frosted rear window too hard to see) (more nice BIG ones can be found in my gallery)

IN JUMBO SIZE, nice the last one is the keeper, very well composed.
