  1. I know which is funny cause I never looked at the engine bay pic of your RX until just recent. I had most of it laid out for a few months but I just needed the reducer to go from the IC to the TB. Looks rather similar if you ask me;)
  2. I got a Legacy tranny and an Impreza tranny but so far away:rolleyes:
  3. HA! I'm half irish too! St. Patricks Day is just another excuse to get totally smashed, I love it!
  4. Nope, only turbo models of the EA82 IIRC...
  5. carb'd and SPFI heads have a single port intake where the MPFI and turbo MPFI EA82s have a dual port intake.
  6. so it appears that Beefaru's tranny has 4.11 gears in it and a Legacy viscous center diff. Looks like I might have to tear down one of my EJ trannys;)
  7. Ok I added links to the first post so you can just go to them. Anyways, its actually not mounted to the car yet but there is almost NO play whatsoever. I can move it around maybe an inch total since the piping is doing a pretty sweet job of keeping it still. I am going to be adding in a IC sprayer and possibly a boost controlled fan as well but those will come later on. I'm eventually going to make a strut tower brace that will have mounting points in it for the IC but until then, I'll ride it like this. The piping I used was: a cut Samco Y-pipe from a WRX a 8" piece of exhaust tubing about 2 1/8" a Samco IC -> TB hose a reducer I got from a fuel filler neck a stock EA82T TB hose Now I just need to get my butt in gear and get this thing timed:rolleyes:
  8. How about driving all the way to Washington from Indiana with 3 - 5 gallon gascans connected together for a gastank... I won't EVER forget that one, that ROCKED!
  9. come on out here guys, Russ, you were close and you didn't swing another 6 hours to come and visit? Its ok, I know how it is when I tend to spend too much time with my car or my fellow Subaru owners. I've heard about it a couple times but she don't care:banana:
  10. I rally on dirt roads up in the hills around here. Its fun cause no one cares!
  11. since I only get 4 on my plate, its gonna be "SLPR" (SLEEPER)
  12. Well I finally was able to get my WRX intercooler installed and some pics taken of it. Check it out... http://community.webshots.com/photo/302403464/2381973490067339125eJPOCR http://community.webshots.com/photo/302403464/2832625290067339125qbmuhz
  13. I took some yesterday on my buddy's camera but he has to send them to me since I don't have a dock for the camera or card.
  14. 85 and 86 XT's did NOT have a spyder intake, just the 87.5 and newer. I put a NA spyder onto my '89 RX and all I had to do was make a fitting in the coolant passage for the turbo, wire the knock sensor into the spyder harness after I took it out of my original nonspyder harness, and having to figure out the EGR part since it's throwing a CEL for it. Other then that and the fact I gotta redo the AAV since it hits my TD04, it worked great, especially with the IC plumbing! I got some pics of it but will take a few days to get them up.
  15. And I'm getting one here in a few weeks, W00T!
  16. So there's this parts car that I can get drivetrain/suspension out of. Its a mid 90's Impreza in that forest green color. Since my RX had 14" steels on it, I noticed that this Imp had the 15" steels. great for winter rims right? I get them pulled off and while I have the fronts off (I was looking at condition of brakes/axles/struts, I saw that it had the 2 piston calipers on it. So now I have to rebuild them but I got 2 piston calipers, new struts, and 15" steels. I have to wait on the new struts since the car has to be rollable for the students to abuse so I'll have to wait till it gets warmer to get them off but right now, I'm doin this:banana: New calipers for me:D
  17. Shawn, I might be bringing you down a harness possibly. Gonna put an EJ22 into LUVMYBRAT's red Brat I drove for the meet.
  18. Subaru_Styles would know since he used a VF11 on his RX wagon if I'm not mistaken. As for me putting the TD04 onto my RX, I just simply unthreaded the back stud and welded it about a 1/2" further back so it would bolt on instead of welding a stock WRX flange onto the uppipe like Caleb did.
  19. the TB on all turbo'd and spyder'd cars is 2 3/8". I cannot tell you what the turbo outlet is since I now have a TD04 on there...
  20. yeah I ran into the slight downpipe rubbage on the crossmember but that was with the stock WRX downpipe. Since i got my Megan Racing downpipe which has no cats in it, there's less of a clearance issue in my RX.
  21. well putting the pressure plate in backwards is kidna hard. I think you mean the clutch disc which would explain the not disengaging situation.
  22. my suggestion is to wire up a switch into the cab and have it wired in so it only will have power with the key in the "ON" position. I did this in my '78 Brat because the thermoswitch in the radiator was bad.
  23. NICE! My Brat is getting a small block Chevy, 5-speed and a full Nissan truck frame but its going minitrucked style;) Get some pics!
  24. And STILL with the Washington plates too... Bad Caleb, bad....
