  1. Make an offer! They still have the struts and springs attached! ;)

  2. Thats one sweet running brat I heard yesterday! Congrats! GD, you do fine work.
  3. I got your top hats....

  4. Are you getting solid power to the ecu while cranking, at 10v+ as well?
  5. It was very nice to meet you too, I'm glad you stopped.
  6. I wish I could have made it....being a carpenter, I never get to get out in spring. As much as I tried, I couldn't do it. Its Morel season too, right where you all were.
  7. For all the stuff regarding your car stock mechanically, go to the new gen forum. For all the stuff you want to do to the body, go to the off road forum. At the bottom of the list there is a page for vendors. SJRLift.com is Scott in Bellingham and Gloyale is part of HighGuys lifts out of oregon. Both make good products. There is a TON of info but it can be kind of daunting to search using the built in search function. To get around that, use google for the engine and have ultimatesubaru at the end. The search function does work, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't recognize 3 letter words and some phrases.

  8. Yo! I met my cars stalker today! That was fun, its funny though. Till you meet the person driving the car....You're all stalkers!
  9. Well, It looks like it was the ea fuel pump relay went bad, I guess I dont need both of them. I had them piggybacked. I swapped everything else out, one by one, checked all my wiring then pulled the plug on the ea relay and it didn't kill the car, but would allow it to turn off. It would have made my wiring easier had I known that.
  10. Isnt there a difference with the throw on an auto v.s manual starter? Say if you have an auto trans and a starter for a manual you could get the symptom you describe or if you have a auto starter on a manual car it could not fully engage the flywheel and eat teeth some times.
  11. I thought the ignition switch, but I swapped one on and no change. The fuel pump keeps running though. So I checked the switch, alt, and then noticed the f/p constantly running. Oh I found this too at the same time... https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/MbjzcMuCv1kM1Fntm5r-uATAXOyVpdqlubjohMVHiAw?feat=directlink but thats a different post.
  12. https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/MbjzcMuCv1kM1Fntm5r-uATAXOyVpdqlubjohMVHiAw?feat=directlink So Im looking to solve the other prob and I see this dent....and I explore.
  13. Wouldn't that be the relay? Alt is at 14.3v. I have to pull the fuse to shut off. This just started yesterday and I've been driving it for a while.
  14. There should be a USMB best photo gallery. This is an awesome shot! Good comp. for a portrait.
  15. The ea82 front springs are 10lbs stronger and fit like stock.
  16. Its been a long time since I've had a stalker. I guess a subaru stalker cant be so bad. Hows it going neighbor?
  17. ^^ you got it! You could try to use a thick piece of glass and sand paper to resurface it yourself. I use a 1/4" glass on a thick slab of polished marble as I don't trust any surface to not flex. Its not hard and helluva lot cheaper. Its not like its the tool steel I've been surfacing. Use wet dry paper and water, silicone it up good when ready and set the NEW screws you buy (unless you want to re drill for the wrong screws they give you) with lock tight (light duty) and make them TIGHT.
  18. Thanks! I've been wondering about that!
  19. Pond liner for the boot! Make sure you have some slack and make a screw down ring for it and trim the rest, it might look pretty good! You could put grandmas old upholstery over it! I'm loving your build btw...
  20. Sick, is what you would have been if you saw it in person. Like going to the jy isn't like going to the morgue? It says pap in the title. It broke my heart every time I saw this car, I was just amazed at how clean it must have looked before... pap. Someone got the dash and most of the column. Must have been worthwhile... I got the motor and ps rack. The tail lights had no moss or cracks, all the rubber and glass was tops. Not a ding on the thing except the front end impact. I needed a hammer for the axles and hub and I was there to keep what I could alive. I'd have the parts for sale here if I had one more day. I would have easily donated the front of my wagon to save this one. It would have needed the full front clip and a new drivers door, the rails were bent.
  21. I went to pap to try to get a few parts from this really nice 82' 4 door coupe that someone (almost anyone) on here would have fixed. Everything that wasn't destroyed in the junk yard was immaculate, minus the front end damage. I got some parts but I so badly wanted more..... Oh, 127k...
  22. I just yesterday found the little squeak on mine and located what I believe to be a worn out rotor. It just squeaks when turning a little like on a curvy road when the weight shifts. The bearings are(/were) good but the previous owner didn't tighten the castle nut enough allowing the rotor to move and wear out on the axle. I haven't disassembled the whole thing to find any axle wear yet but I won't be surprised if I find some. I had shaken this thing out like five times and couldn't find anything but yesterday I guess was my...lucky(?)..day.
