strange thing happened to me
I'd think about wheel bearings when you get the chance as they might have gotten a bit of wear. That would scare the crapes out of me.

Wouldn't you want to know everything was done perfect and know where it was? So you can know how to fix it.

fuel smell inside the cabin
I have mine off manifold vacuum, it should be able to accumulate safely and get pulled into the motor to get burned at low rpm is what my original thinking...I think, was, I have to go look.

I left my charcoal canister with my weber, for the vent. Gas expands and contracts with the temp and I wanted to be safe. I also put a return on the carb. Could it be pressure related? Are the vent and return lines just kind of pointed up, so gas might drip in, capped or not?

For the really big water crossings:banana: 36s on an ejed brat with lots of foam and some sheet metal to skim the bottom and top gear here we come ! A pto would be the next far fetched mod Id pipe dream about! That would make a killer lumber wagon! Winch out some timbers and mill away on your roomill. Put a backhoe on the rear? Whatever you need. You are already making a 4 wd roo tractor!

EA81 Body with EJ Series Radiator
I put the legacy one in my brat by installing two tabs on the core support for the pins and grommets on the radiator bottom and just zip tying the top on. It fit rather nicely. I just didn't want to bolt the top on without a bracket or spacer that I havent built yet. If its for an ea81 engine I'd bet you could use the factory legacy overflow bottle too.

I was really bored today so....
Thats a hundred dollar board if I ever saw one. Good looking curly maple.

Weird: pulls left when accelerating, pulls right when letting off accelerator
Ball joints and radius rod bushings are easy to fix together. I would just do both at the same time for the ease of labor. Its nice to know they are done. Subies have a 'little bit' of torque steer too. A steering rack issue would show itself when braking by steering wheel wobble.

What the!!! HG's blown TWICE!?!

EJ Power Steering rack into EA82 car

EJ Power Steering rack into EA82 car
From a brat? How? My ej lines end metric female without a flair cone and the ea81 lines end male flaired or you got that silly fitting that shoves the lines into the ej exhaust thats female- female. I re-bent my ea81 lines to the other side of the crosdsmember and got a metric fitting from compression to compression, cut the ea81 line to use the compression and stuffed it to the ejs (thankfully) same thread pattern. Return...well you know. Ea82.... I dunno. Been to long.

Why stop at EJ swap?
Do all the stuff you can do while the engine is out but don't forget to do all the stuff you need to do while the engine is still in the donor vehicle. If it doesn't work right when it comes out of the donor, what are you to do to diagnose problems when its in a new car.

Also on the same note Fittings inc can do you up for cheap as they supply most of the places with hardwear yet are open to the public and make their own hoses in house. They talked me out of $100 hoses for a $2.65 fitting for my ej swap.

Fuel pump? ejswap
Gosh darn year/orientation specific motors! Its hard to swear and make it sound convincing after having to drive it this week. ObII sounds more available moment to moment, though. Just like an extra free 25 horse with a 2.5.

Fuel pump? ejswap
It still doing the same thing but really intermittently. I have had to do the hg's this weekend on my dd wagon so I havent put much time into it. I was wondering if ground I used from the back of the dash was on or off with the functions of the dash but now I'm not so sure. Being a house carpenter I think of power being on the switch not grounds like in a car. I haven't checked for codes or cleared them or really driven the car. I got to pull the dash again and put in a stereo this week so I'll update. Did your motor start life as an auto? The black wire is what I have grounded but now that I think about it I should make sure that is right.

ea81 head gasket ?s
I'll see what I can find. I have a stripped intake bolt on each anyway. Is there a difference in the head, between the two? Besides the large vs. small valve. ( heck with my luck I'd find two different heads.) Thanks for the help, BTW!
