  1. I haven't swapped either of those out, but it threw no codes except for the rear o2. Nothing else. And we swapped another intake manifold on from a running car, and it still did the same thing, which would eliminate those anyway. Yeah I feel like it's something stupid, but we've checked everything many times over. It's so discouraging.
  2. I haven't, but I could try. I didn't think it would cause that big of an issue so I didn't try.
  3. It's running on all 4 cylinders for sure. It runs great, till you stomp on it, or it hits around 4k rpms. It's definitely more like a banana in the tail pipe.
  4. I drove this home tonight, about 15 miles or so. It took a while, except for down hills. It's really weird. I flat out can't floor it. But if I feather it, it runs ok. But still won't rev very high. But if I floor it, it falls flat on its face and wants to die. I'm really hoping I can get this going.
  5. Nope. Still does the same exact thing. Runs perfect, except won't rev over 4k rpms.
  6. Pretty sure it can be made to work, might have to use forester top spring plates too though. But it isn't going to gain you much lift. Maybe a slight amount, but I wouldn't think it'd be enough for the effort.
  7. 25 bucks for a minty header. Just let me know.
  8. I still have a couple of these headers if you need one Chris.
  9. Dual range was available till 89. When the ea82 car turned from a gl to a Loyale, in 1990, that's when they stopped coming with a dual range.
  10. They will bolt up for sure. The actual coilovers might be too long to get it as low as coilovers for a legacy, or even 02-07 impreza. Depends on how low you want to go.
  11. 95 will have dual exhaust ports, so you could just buy an eBay UEL header made for a 2.5 non turbo and that would help a lot. Part it with a louder muffler and you'll get the sound you're looking for.
  12. Yeah those are 13" wheels. If they were 14's, they'd measure 15" across the face.
  13. Are you sure those are 14's? Are they marked that size or do they measure that, from lip to lip?
  14. You should be able to just remove them from the plastic clips up under the bed, and carefully bend them down to get the extra length you need.
  15. You can buy a brand new turbo short block from subaru for $1800 so I'd imagine a non turbo is the same. And the rate they charge is outrageous. Machine work on the heads is less than $200. And there is no chain tensioner, unless it's an H6. All the parts for timing and the gaskets add up to less than $500.
  16. It's more common for the turbo models. But if the oil was low, or old, it can happen to the non turbos as well. $5000 is an insane price for that. But that's just my opinion.
  17. Due to financial reasons, I am willing to sell my Un used adapters, with brand new lug studs as well. I paid 300 shipped for the adapters, plus the 40 for the studs. Pm me if you're interested.
  18. No, don't use anything at all on the gaskets. They go on dry.
  19. So you're wasting money on new bolts, and getting gaskets that are known to be crap on the ej25? Makes sense. Re use the bolts, and get the good gaskets.
