  1. 98-02 Forester is one style. 03-08 is the same but has a higher rear spring perch. But all 98-08 will bolt in.
  2. Guess I should have clarified. 98-08 forester and 96-99 outback fronts.
  3. The front perches are all the same, pretty much. It's the rears that restrict tire size.
  4. You must have been using 98-02 Forester struts. The 03-08 has the higher rear spring perch like the Outback struts. And you can put the 98-02 springs on those for a slightly stiffer setup as well.
  5. Yeah no way I can afford new tires lol.
  6. I'd love to have them. I'm sure shipping would hurt though.
  7. That could be a possibility, but I even swapped an entire intake manifold from a running car onto my motor and it still did the same thing. Any insight on why my oil is the way it is?
  8. Yes I see what he's doing g with the wheels. That doesn't answer my question of what he's doing with the old tires.
  9. What are you doing with the old tires?
  10. So the oil is overfull, and very thin, like maybe there is fuel mixed in. Any relation to the issues I'm having? What could cause this?
  11. http://www.indysworld.com/80s/general/wheels/wheels.html
  12. The guy who makes those is pooparu on here. He's the ebay seller. Yeah the first one you linked was gen 2.
  13. You're on the same forum we are. They openly advertise on here. Just look around.
  14. That'll really depend on what you're looking for. There's not a huge difference between the two, and I'd personally rather have the rear sit ever so slightly higher than the front, so I'd personally go with the 3/8.
  15. There's a good chance. It's there on most cars anyway. But the saggy butt spacers through paranoidfabrications.com are really cheap. Just grab a set of and be prepared.
  16. Pretty sure the sus engine is dohc, and the forester is sohc. So, you could use the forester block, and put your heads and intake on it.
  17. 36mm for the axle nut. 32mm is for the EJ style cars.
  18. Pretty much goes for any ssubaru, regardless of the year. 19mm is a good one too. But those others are definitely the most common. The battery terminals may very well have been changed.
  19. Usually the turbo goes, and then very quickly after, the rod bearings go because of oil starvation.
  20. It's very common for the legacy gt's and Outback xt of that year to have bad motors and turbos.
  21. Crank the torsion bar? But most people lift the front to get things evened out. Brats usually have the cat in heat stance to begin with.
  22. Sounds awesome. And really rare to have a nice old subaru on this coast. Keep it oiled and clean!
  23. Pics of the brat too! Start a members journal.
