  1. you got any pics?
  2. chack your cv joints, what you described sounds exactly like a bad cv joint on your front axels. ive replaced many an axel. usually it starts with a torn cv boot, if and when the boot tears, the grease gets flung out and it gets dirt and road stuffs in it causing wear faster than it should. when it clicks around turns, its usually cause the axel has gone bad.
  3. you gat a pic of the body kit and a price?
  4. hey, let me know how that turns out, i wouldnt mind seeing something like that.
  5. hurray for duck tape and bondo, w00t!!i think i should go for it, but first, who wants to make a donation?
  6. yay for bondo!!!!!, hey it could work though, i dont know where i would get the $ for it though
  7. just wondering, do you think it would be possible to graft a mitsu eclipse body kit onto a 1986 rx? i know i would have to cut and bend the fenders to fit, prolly be wider at the bumpers. im asking cause i found a perfect body kit on some ricer eclipse at a junk yard, the kit doesnt even have a scratch on it, my guess is that the motor went on it. but do you think it would be worth the time? it would be kinda cool to see a rx with a modern twist to it. i prolly shoulda took pics of the car.
  8. cops are useless, i think they only exist to hassle under age smokers and catch the people that make only a tiny little mistake. god forbid that they ever go after the people that deserve it. i say take it into your own hands
  9. im kinda in the same boat on this one, i need to drain and drop the tank, its been sitting for 6 years and prolly has more water than gas in it, strangly enuff, the car still runs on it.
  10. i know him, cool guy, i bought the rear brakes he had for the legacy, now i need the legacy turbo calipers. poor car, i would have liked seeing it
  11. hey goatboy, that was my nickname back in high school. i never thought i would see anyone else use that name. i guess, long live the bretheren of the goatboys!!!
  12. has any one tried or completed an ej series engine swap into an old subaru? (pre legacy/impreza)
  13. i have a '86 rx, is there any one that makes anything like a body kit that will fit the car? im looking for wider fenders and new bumper. i am making the car into a track car, it needs an aerodynamic face lift. and the peugot rims on it are sticking out past the fenders at the moment.
  14. thanks for the info. that will help out a lot when i upgrade, can you give a link of where i can get an adapter?
  15. i am having a cook out thursday march 18. its gunna be from 12 till when ever. let me know if anyone wants to come. send me an email or im me. btw, i am in frederick aim: bikergothdude email: bikergothdude@earthlink.net looking foward to hear from you all. tim
  16. would the stock sensor work with the larger turbo? of course i will be upgrading the whole intake setup as well as the exhaust.
  17. im trying to build a rx into a track car. im possibly going to swap out the turbo for a wrx unit, but what i need to know is, are there any other mass air sensors that will be a larger diameter but still compatible with the rx, ill most likely be installing a larger throttle body and an intercooler along with the new turbo. i know that the cars run like crap without the sensor, but the stock one is too narrowand it wont allow the use of an aftermarket cone style air filter. any suggestions or advice?
  18. its a suby, get used to oil leaks, but the rear maiun seal leaks like a busted dam. the crank and cam seals go a lot. they are just oily cars. but other than that, they are great.
