audio wiring isnt too hard, lots easier than, lets say, rewiring the whole fron end. i would change out the wiring for the rears at least. for the fronts, it depends on the head unit that you are ususing and the speaker you go with.

go for a '00 2.5rs, cant go wrong with that and it will be broken in already. an just think of the money you will save by getting a slightly older ride.

you should come to frederick, all sorts of subies all over, new and old, then there is a junk yard a few miles west of me that has a few older subies and then there is another junk yard near hagerstown that has lots and lots of old subies, it might be the one trogdor mentioned.

i am the one that will always spota a suby, whether by sight, sound or esp. i can pin point a boxer's sound before anyone else can hear it, i can point out the tail lights of almost any suby from over a mile when i cent even make out the road signs. and i always seem to look up right in time to see a suby rolling down the street. not to mention i have parts everywhere, brakes in my bed room, headers in hte utility room, more brake parts in the utiliy room.my bedroom is painted in mica blue and yellow trim(rally team colors) as well as having a blue and yellow tile floor and wrx models and posters all over.

now i just need to get a lifted suby

kinda like the guy from iron butterfly. went off the road coming home, took like 20 years to find it, it was like 30 feet from the road as well.

at the shop i worked in, all we did too relaive the pressure was open the fuel cap. nevr had gas spray out or leak more than it should. its not complicated at all

thats nuts, i see no reason it wouldnt work. i have a very simular setup on my impreza, i removed the backing plate on the hood scoop and put a k&n cone filter with a short extansion built into it right onto the throttle body, ive had no problems with rain. you will want to put a screen in the scoops to keep out bugs and birds.

how am i a nut, ive only bought every model of a suby that i could find, painted my bed room in their rally colors(mica blue and yellow), i own two subies sofar, my floor is tiled in the rally colors, i wear shirts that say "subaru specialist" i own every ps2 rally game, i even made a lego boxer engine for a megablocks rally car. i got the transformers subaru wrc wrx. i have a huge 2001 manufactorers' champonship poster (the one with the wrx driven by lovell and turvey) i even bought the rc wrx that makes way too much noise from walmart. on second thought, now i know why im poor, and i guess that i am a sube fanatic. oh well, thats life. although, i do get made fun of at school for loving subies, dang honda driving fools.

s'ko i am so down to get together and go off roading, i might even have a brat by then, i hope.

you need to go and smack whoever told you that.

check the fuel lines the run up the drivers side from the rear to the front, up the side of the kick panel, and out the firewall. if the wiring got burned, the line might have been damaged. just a thought though.
