  1. Well location-wise, the Battle Ground idea sounds like a better bet for me. It all depends on what the majority thinks. (Assuming anyone else shows interest between now and Friday )
  2. Well, the Forest Service has this map available online, but it's pretty vague.http://www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/04maps/documents/GP_Vicinity_05.pdf I'm about 2 hours North of Camas, how does the Safeway parking lot at say 10am on Saturday sound?
  3. As there is no title, it definitely sounds like a parts car to me.
  4. Glad to hear that you got some help with it. If your rig is ready to go by this weekend, you should come down and go wheeling with us.
  5. Sounds perfect, can you post a link to a map or directions? Since I just realized that Sunday is Mothers Day, looks like it would be Saturday that I'm free. Anyone interested?
  6. I've had someone suggest going out to Greenwater. Not quite Southwest, but has anyone ever been up there? What's it like?
  7. Actually, I did crush it once before on the last wagon I ran it on. Coming down the exact embankment that those pics were shot at. Any of you local guys that are interested in going wheeling should take a look at my post in Meet & Greet. I want to get this wagon out and see what I can break.
  8. Looks like I've got next weekend off, anyone want to meet up and hit some trails? Location suggestions are welcomed/encouraged. Preferably somewhere that is good for stockers and lifted rigs to increase turnout. Update: We'll be meeting up at the entrance to Battle Ground State Park on Saturday @ 10am and heading out from there. This link gives you an idea of where the park is
  9. Everyone else seems to be out taking advantage of the weather lately, I was starting to feel left out. This creek is located on the back half of our acreage. I was alone, so no action shots. Next time I'll take my video camera with me. http://cleptoscastle.com/albums/album02/IMG_0142_1sm.sized.jpg http://cleptoscastle.com/albums/album02/IMG_0136_1sm.sized.jpg http://cleptoscastle.com/albums/album02/IMG_0152_1sm.sized.jpg
  10. Ok, since you guys seem to know where all the fun stuff is at, you need to try and organize a group meet. I took the wagon out this weekend, but all the spots near my place had dried up.
  11. Offroading + Guns = Too much fun Looks like you guys had a good time.
  12. Do you have map of where this place is at? All mapquest will show me is that it's near Salem. Put my vote down for RisSanSubaru's suggestion of something near Long Beach.
  13. I'd be willing to travel down that way for a get together. It all just depends on when.
  14. My exact words when he told me how fast I was going was; "Wow, this thing will go that fast?"
  15. Looking good Ryan. It's funny, I don't miss my '04 WRX one bit, but I do miss that little Hatch. Would love to go wheeling with you sometime in the wagon I replaced that Hatch with. For anyone that's curious, this is what the hatch looked like when I got it, taken right after I was pulled over doing 85+ in it in Boise.
  16. My wife is going to have surgery on Monday, so I'm not going to be able to make it up. Maybe next time. :-\
  17. Taken this morning: '82 GL w/'89 ea81 hydro-lifter engine AA 4" Lift, AA 15" wheels wrapped in 215/85 SuperSwamper TSL Radials
  18. I have a 2wd '81 DL wagon that has it. As does my lifted '82 GL.
  19. Exactly what he said. Make sure you get the bolts that hold the backing plates on, they are longer than the ones that are used for drum brakes.
  20. That'll buff right out. Glad you came through it ok. I've rolled a couple cars in the past, including my '04 WRX. Sort of scary to go through, but it makes for one hell of a story later on. This is exactly why I play with old Subarus, if you bend or break it, you can easily find another.
  21. This is what it used to look like at my old place. The cars shown are only about 1/2 of what I had at the time.
  22. Sorry guys, but with the lack of responses, I've made the decision to spend that weekend with family. I'm going to be headed up the following weekend to the Reiter's Pit instead.
  23. I, for one, truly appreciate the efforts being made to keep this a fun for the whole family event.
