EJ20g into GL10 Wagon almost done ~EDIT DONE~
spanky_pete replied to suberdave's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
Holy crap, how did I miss this thread. That thing is fantastic. I've been debating doing this with my turbo wagon this summer. -
Weber Kits: Where to buy
spanky_pete replied to spanky_pete's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Thanks to everyone who gave me info. I ordered mine from a board member this morning. -
Damn, glad everyone was ok. On a more positive note, it looks like your pugs came through it ok.

Sorry to hear it scrap, I was looking forward to seeing that monster wagon of yours. Things are looking up for me at least. I installed my new fuel pump and fixed the electric fan on my wagon last night. Now it looks like the only think I have left for Saturday is bleeding the brakes. -
Offroad Bumper Group Buy AA
spanky_pete replied to Shadyirishmen's topic in Products for your Subaru
Wow, you guys must of heard my B-Day was coming up. I'm interested in a rear for my '82, do you have pics of one installed on an ea81 car? They're just painted, not powdercoated, right? How long is the group buy going to be open? -
Ok, I'm getting ready to buy a Weber kit (P/N: K730) for my '82 Wagon. I have done searches here and on Google and the best price I've seen so far is from CarbsUnlimited for about $390 before tax and shipping. Before I drop that kind of money I want to make sure there isn't a better deal elsewhere that I've missed. Thanks

Yeah, your collection is starting to look good. My wife sure was happy to come home and see that hatch MIA. She better watch out though, I've still got plenty of room for adding more to my stash.

Cool vids, but on the second one it says it's just under 9 min long, but the video seems to end around 5 minutes. Still fun to watch though.

These are the only pics I have handy of my AA lifted '82 Wagon: http://cleptoscastle.com/albums/album02/82WagonLifted_1.jpg http://cleptoscastle.com/albums/album02/82WagonLifted_2.jpg http://cleptoscastle.com/albums/album02/DSC07582_2.jpg And, those are the Swamper TSL's you were talking about on a set of AA rims. I got the tires through SummitRacing.com

Blue84Hatch has done the swap on his car, you might check with him.

I had to do some exhaust wrestling on my wagon after I lifted it. The system was off a different ea81 wagon and didn't want to fit. A crow bar, a couple bleeding knuckles and a dictionary full of swear words later and it fits. Now I have rewire the fuel pump in time for the get together on the 11th.

Sweet, looking forward to the pics. What size/type of rubber are you going to be running on it?

Excellent, looks like we'll have a decent group coming. If a rescue vehicle is needed, I live pretty close and can have my '05 GMC 2500HD brought to me. -
EA81 Weber Install Q's ...
spanky_pete replied to Subarutex's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Wow, GD is back from the dead. I've run a couple of the little Holleys(copies of the Weber)with water choke before, they're a complete pain to dial in just right. Although, with the manifold sitting right on top of the motor you might have better luck. I was installing mine on an Chevy Inline 6 where the manifold hung off the side of the block. As was mentioned already. Parts stores have bags of assorted size vac. line caps you can buy pretty cheap. You never know when you'll lose one. -
Hybrid EJ257 (UDSM STi) into RX, the build thread
spanky_pete replied to WJM's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
You tease, at least give us a pic of the block. :-p -
How many threads like this have you made in the past? I can think of at least two others, yet you always seem to come back to the ea82t.

Yeah, I know where it's at, sounds like a good spot to me. I guess this means I need to hurry up and finish up my wagon. Now we just need some more people. *hint*hint* -

Ok so, Saturday Feb 11th at 11am? I'd still like to get an idea for where the trails you were talking about are so I can go take a look at them in advance. I used to live in Winlock and know my way around there pretty well. I'll probably be in the middle of moving into my new house but I'll try and make it out for a while, I just have to get my wagon roadworthy by then. -
Northwest Washington Meet

Since the original poster hasn't been back to this thread for a while, I'm guessing meeting this coming weekend is a bust. Maybe we can try for something in February? I have a three day weekend thanks to Presidents Day (Feb 18-20), maybe the rain will have stopped by then. -
Must have another car

That's what I keep telling my wife. Anyone who has seen my driveway knows why she doesn't believe me. -

If I'm following correctly, you mean right there off of exit 63. That's a pretty good choice, as there's a gas station right there too. Give me an idea of where you're thinking about in Winlock and I can go scout it out for anyone that's interested.
