  1. Updates? Did they arrive, and have you started shipping them yet? Thanks
  2. I'm interested in signing up for an ea81 kit, but I'd like to see the differences in the two before I commit. Do both kits incorporate using the ea82 style rear coilovers? All parts needed are included for both kits, correct? No extra fabbing or junkyard scrounging? Feel free to send pics to: spanky_pete@twistednipple.com Thanks
  3. Any date for when you'll start shipping the wheels yet? That's a nice offer. Might be interested in getting a spare wheel for my set, or possibly a lift kit for an ea81 wagon. Shoot me a quote when you get a chance. -C
  4. Yeah, I think I'm going to pass on attempting this one. I'm down for an outing a little closer to me in the future though. (That is,once my AA wheels show up.)
  5. Yeah, I see a pic of the wheels in Blue84Hatch's gallery, you've been holding out on us man!
  6. Here's the latest news, sounds eerily familiar to the last update. :-\
  7. Any updates on how this is going? Possible arrival dates, etc?
  8. It's no big secret that you can install rear ea82 coilovers on a ea81 vehicle by fabbing up a real simple bracket. There used to be an article on it in the repair section.
  9. I've only had one transaction with John, but have spoken with him a number of times. He does know his stuff, and the price he gave me was pretty decent, though he wasn't 100% upfront about what I was getting. It was the communication issues and unreliable timing for meeting up that would make me steer clear of future dealings with him. Everyone seems to be saying that he's a busy guy trying to run a business, and don't worry he'll come through. However, good communication and a strong followthrough should be priority number one for someone wanting to help keep that business afloat. :-\
  10. It could have something to do with the fact that they've not been back to the forum since starting the thread.
  11. I was using my lifted hatch as my daily driver after my WRX was wrecked. I couldn't wait to get back into something that was actually comfortable and smooth to ride in.
  12. Can't we all just get along?
  13. That sucks man, it's more the people than the city. It can and will happen no matter where you live. We had someone steal the trim from around the windshield on our old Caprice when we lived in Burien. It couldn't have been more than a 2 dollar part, and I'm sure they f'd it up pulling it off. Hope the cops can help you out.
  14. The pics of the Allied Armament wagon with it's 29s are back up so everyone to see what it is we're talking about.
  15. After seeing the direction they took with the grille design on the Tribeca, and then comparing it to the new Forester and Impreza, things could be much worse. For the most part I like the Forester and Impreza redesigns, but I wouldn't call them an 'improvement'. As far as engines in the Impreza lineup. Yes, the RS horsepower is being bumped up, and the WRX gets the 2.5 turbo. It's a huge improvement over the 2.0 turbo powerplant. Too bad I'm not in the market for another car...yet.
  16. Here are the pics: Two thoughts after seeing the pics; Looks like some hefty weights on those wheels, did they have problems getting them to balance? And, it looks like those 29s would be in trouble if the suspension had to compress upward very far. Sure looks good though.
  17. The exhaust in my turbo wagon doesn't even go past the front seat, let alone the rear. I'm glad I'm in Lewis County, the only thing they care about around here is keeping the free thinking outsiders from moving in.
  18. I'll host them, send the pics to getbent/@/twistednipple.com <-Just remove the /'s.
  19. I've never heard that before, where did you get that from? The only vehicles I have that have where the exhaust exits behind the rear wheels are my two WRXs.
  20. Looks good, but I can definitely see why some people were worried about the AA kit pulling the rear wheels too far forward. How much space do you have between the wheel wells and the tires with it extended like that?
  21. Yup, it ran after it went out, but it had no power above 2k rpm. I could still get it up to speed on the freeway, but it needed a downslope and a lot of room to get there. It actually extended the life of my 3AT that way. Once I installed a fresh new turbo on it, the tranny began the slip of doom. Now I have a nice new turbo, an AWD xt6 tranny and a bum motor. :-\
