  1. I just checked most of the fuses I could find. I haven't found a bad one yet.
  2. Wow, this has certainly been a labor of love. I'm blown away.
  3. I was jump starting our EJ22 Legacy a few weeks ago since it has been in storage for a while, when I mistakenly connected reversed the jumper cables attaching them to the battery. The car made an audible pop, and I pulled them off immediately, but it was too late. No amount charging seemed to bring it up speed. Later, I took the battery back to Autozone to have it tested. They gave it a clean bill of health. When I went to install it in the car, it still didn't start, but the door buzzer now worked. So, I tried a few other batteries that tested good and they didn't work. I tried jumping, too (the right way this time), but no success. Now, the electrical seems to be half dead. Here's what I checked: - power door locks (works) - door buzzer (works) - power windows (doesn't work) - power mirrors (doesn't work) - air/blower (doesn't work) - all exterior lights (doesn't work) - radio (doesn't work) - instrument panel (doesn't work) - starter (doesn't work) I'm thinking it might be some fuse(s) (still checking on that), but do any other ideas come to mind? There's no obvious damage that I have found yet. Thank you for your help.
  4. Not bad. Are those wheels the stock ones?
  5. Is that a Mercury Sable? That's it, I'm hauling that Taurus wagon to the junkyard first thing next week!
  6. I had long drawn out thoughtful reply that seems to have gotten deleted so here is a synopsis in no particular order: - BMW E30 (80's) 3 series cars - 79-93 Ford Mustang - Volvo 200/700 series - Toyota Celica/Supra - Nissan 240SX/300ZX - Mazda RX-7 (80's or 90's FD)
  7. Wow, this project is incredible! I have the same basic plan for my 78 BRAT. I wonder what kind of compatibility differences there are trying to do it with a gen 1?
  8. I had tuirn downs on my Camaro for a while. We kept getting light headed at stoplights, so I started running them whenever the opportunity presented itself. Those were the days!
  9. The car looks hot, although I am hoping that it's not fated to be a off road vehicle after all that.
  10. That's a nice build! I love it someone does the neccessary modifications to make an engine more efficient rather than writing it off because it's not the most powerful engine of the the line. Being a swap junkie I wouldn't know anything about that, but it's nice all the same.

    Towing

This is my towing rig. I'm pretty fond of it.
  12. My truck is still registered in Reno. It only costs $30 there as opposed to $290 in Cali.
  13. To help build some momentum, I will post my dead stock BRAT: Can anybody top it?
  14. No, there's two of us, but truthfully I like where it is, I just want less sprung weight and stiffer suspension.
  15. I'd be careful, cops here go extra hard on out of state plates. In boring towns cops will pick a random car and tail it for a few miles until they either se something amiss or you get so nervous that you make a mistake. The more squemish you are, the more likely you will have multiple citations. They ask you questions to trick you into admitting that you have been there for a while which carries some stiff penalties.
  16. Going off this thread: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=93323 I think it would be cool to see what people have done with their EA71 style cars. Pre EA71 cars are also allowed. So let's see 'em!
  17. Ah, I wish still lived in Reno/Sparks just for this. I moved back to So Cal at the beginning of this year. :-\
