  1. I had one with that digi dash....love the turbo animation! Nice ride dude...love the brown (seriously, I do)
  2. yeah back in 2003/2004 look at his profile...this was his last login: Last Activity: 02-06-2004 12:18 AM
  3. I doubt he is the smartest here and i personally have been a member for a very looooong time and i have never even heard of this person. Wrong board maybe?
  4. called my mechanic to verify....the airbag light can be on but it doesn't matter....as long as the bag isn't hanging out of the steering wheel and obstructing the driving you are OK. So there you have it from 2 PA inspection license holders. It doesn't matter.
  5. and I thought I was nuts for taking my dad's chevy PU and a rented trailer to Rockford Ill to get a 92 legacy turbo and towing it home out and back nonstop. Good for you guys and mad props to all that helped with the saga!
  6. ok I'm not trying to be nosy but what the heck is going on here???? I hear mention of a baja, a coupe, and an XT6...something about parts in NY and charging system issues.... Someone care to tell a full story here since it seems rather interesting and all I have so far are pieces to a big puzzle. Color me curious :-p
  7. I'm telling ya...a 95 impreza is rated at 13.2 us gal/50liter/11.0Imp gal plus the fact that I owned a 95 OBS and a 95 L coupe. It really is that small of a tank.
  8. Gary: i love those wheels....I wish I had something that needed wheels 'cause I would love to put them on a car (not sure they would look right on the baja) Bruce: I'd take one of those tires if you wanted to ship it. I have a 16" steel rim but no tire...I'd like a FS spare for the "longer treks" If you would ship it I'd gladly pay the shipping and throw some "beer money" at ya. LMK Gary again: just make sure those bigger tires will clear the struts...too bad you are so far...we could rip the wheels off the baja and test fit the OBS (if you felt like taking a sunday drive.... LMK)
  9. baja factory size too. Gary...you have forester XT wheels :slobber: If you ever sell them talk to me.
  10. GET WITH THE PROGRAM HERE!!!!!!!!! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT AN IMPREZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just looked in my 1995 impreza owners manual... it doesn't say there is a difference in tanks but it says the tank is 13.2
  11. go pop a pain pill and shut up.
  12. yeah the AWD tanks are wayyyy small and the sending unit is easy to replace and it is aobut $80 or so from a dealer. I've replaced 2 :-\ I've got it down to a science now....
  13. thats what I told him today...just get one and we can route it a little different if need be. dixracing: Watch what you say....people have been kicked out for less.
  14. Woooooooohoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I know of a guy that has the OBD II adaptor and software for a laptop and it is the bomb....I saw him use it on a jetta one night....very very cool setup. If I had a laptop I'd have one.
  16. he is already a member
  17. my 1.8 impreza's were always horrible on gas. :-\ I've has an OBS with a 1.8 AWD 5 speed that could on a good day on the highway only get 24-25 The guy who does my inspections told me of a custome of his that has a 2wd that gets 32-35 but i didn't know if it was 5 speed of not and I'm sure that is driving like grandma would drive... I think your issue is the fact that it is automatic....I think that is hurting you mostly.
  18. I have heard this myth of the 90-91 2.2's doing this in the upper years of life. I will also say that I have also had a 90 legacy blow its HG too but I think my issue was a little different....I lost my water pump and before i realized what was going on....poof it was over. I would say before blaming the HG's look elsewhere for other issues too. FWIW, this car also had 205k on it when it happened and when I had the t-belt done at 180k I asked them to do the WP and they didn't because it was "still good"
  19. personally I'd buy one for the car the tranny came out of. Is there a difference between 2wd and 4wd? If not I can give you a vin to an 86 turbo 4wd
  20. yeah i had that "this would be cool if I could pull it off" type of thing going on but I kinda figured in the back of my head this would not fly very well. I am not going to hack up a good low mileage car to put it into...even though they are cool as heck. Yeah it came from Harry's....I figured i was taking the dash so I might as well take the cluster too since I had to remove it. In the end...I'll probly just sell it to help cover the cost of the seats.
  21. has anyone ever done this? I was wondering if it is even close to plug and play or if it is a pipe dream. I already have the digi so give me your thoughts.
  22. simply put... WOW!!!!! :slobber: :slobber: :slobber: :slobber: :slobber: lucky s.o.b.
