I can smell your jealousy from here

It passed inspection. I think I may have to replace the clutch. When you shift, it can take a second or two to fully engage. If I get stuck in stop and go traffic anywhere, it'll kill it. -
Does it really do it in a low speed, low rpm, high gear, high throttle situation? That is, when you are in high gear and not moving very fast, and you mash the throttle, does it shake?

I guess you could weld a 'cage on there.

I don't know why it does that, but it sure is annoying. As a matter of fact, I prefer to just put img tags around an address, instead of writing a post with all these huge pics in my way. -

Do the pics look dark and fuzzy? They looked fine on my laptop when I put them together. -

The undercarriage is PRISTINE. Just rockerpanels, door edges and fender edges are rusted. Did a guy looking for an EA81 for aircraft purposes contact you? I sent some guy my dad knows on here, and he said he found an engine in Tazewell. -
Sounds like a misfire. Is it putting out normal power, or does it feel weak?

Still no pics. :-p I put a 2.5 inch Flowmaster on it last night. Also, I figured out how to operate the third eye, and it actually works! I guess it'll pass inspection now. -

Ha, still no pics. i did finally get a cord for my camera, though. I have to fix the exhaust, and maybe replace the taillight, and it might pass inspection. The 3rd eye even works! BABE Rally coming soon... -
That stuff is so rare here... I've never seen an xt6, Knowing what it was, anyway. I've seen 1 XT turbo, only cause a friend's mom owned it.

EA82 Beetle problems, now with pics
Nug replied to Nug's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I was thinking maybe 50 miles. I guess it depends on how serious you are. -
In case anyone's wondering, the reason this looks so heinous is because it's been sitting for about 4 years, silently rusting. It does run, however. You should buy it.

I love it when that happens (to other people). Been there.

http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=72753 There are huge crappy pics in this thread. -
They are too wide. And the timing marks on the flywheel don't exist anymore. Even if they did, they wouldn't be visible due to the engine adapter.

Where can I get freezeplugs? EA81
Nug replied to Caboobaroo's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Are they 20mm, like in an ea82 head? I have 10 of them. -

Nug replied to Nug's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Dammit. I put the freeze plugs in the heads, added coolant, and watched coolant leak from a crack in the top of the block. I can probably tig weld the crack shut, but that means I have to wire up my welder and pull the intake, andI don't want to spend the time. Who wants to buy this thing? Clear title, fairly good floor pans for a vw, two extra short blocks. At least $700 in conversion parts. I may even haul it a reasonable distance. -
Yeah, pretty much top speed. I loved that pile of crap.
