  1. Wow, thats a LOT of stuff for $2000! Good deal
  2. Thats interesting... Check and see if theres a part number on there when you get the car.
  3. Coilovers by far. I'd like to see any sort of aftermarket suspension options for the gen1's, but there really isnt any, so its custom or stock The reason I think there is some kind of option out ther for the rear suspension is that blue race car that was on ebay a little while ago... It had a red strut in the rear that wasnt stock, and I wonder who sells/sold it.
  4. The rears are a pretty simple shock setup... Do you think that kind of shock could just be some kind of generic length shock you could buy from any old place?
  5. Its called "bumper paint", ive used it on a few things before like wipers on my Impreza and my old grill. I usually sand the surface first then do like 3 or 4 layers. It holds up ok, but it wont last forever, probably a couple years. The cool thing is its not hard to just spray another coat or two on when it needs it. It might work better if you spray some kind of paint adhesive surface first before spraying the actual paint on, but I havent tried that yet.
  6. Current status is un-registered, un-insured
  7. The interior was actually in better shape than the exterior when I got it. But it needs carpet in the front... Ill finish up the interior last, after the engine and paint.
  8. It finally cleared up enough today for me to uncover the car and get it running. Took a couple laps around the block, and took some nice new pics, concentrating on the engine bay: Nothing new though... Still waiting on paint/smog repair money
  9. Well maybe the vacume lines, but its hard to tell what they did with the air filter covering most of the important area of the motor (the carb). And its probably good that its not the original pump.
  10. 1) Pre-heater hose 2) PCV intake hose caped off 3) Air valve hose not installed (on the intake) 4) Aftermarket fuel pump 5) Poorly painted intake 6) Missing jack 7) Missing spare
  11. LOL, I missed this thread, but caught the one over on NASIOC Great find
  12. I for one don't have a way of bending 3/16" aluminum... So I would have to have a shop do it for me. I'd rather support Primitive though.
  13. Since when have skid plates been hard to find for impreza's??? http://www.writerguy.com/primitive/skid.htm
  14. This is why the first thing I did when I got the '78 was have a couple of spare keys made Make sure you have a couple extras everybody if you don't already...
  15. WOW! I would so race that, even better than the other one that was on ebay (although it doesnt have a supercharger ) I like the headlight intakes
  16. I want your car! Im gunning for a V4 bumper soon...
  17. Use http://www.photobucket.com to host pics
  18. Welcome to the board! See if you can take some pics so we can help identify more things about the car, we arent even sure which transmission it is using. Also, if you have the VIN number still on the car somewhere, we might be able to figure out what model it is for sure, see if you can find a build date too. It doesnt look like a JDM car, my best guess is just a mid 70's FWD GL coupe...
  19. Monster garage tried this with a Beetle... And failed
  20. Its just unpossible to tell without better pics But it would make sense to run a tranny with better gearing and such, which the porsche/VW trannys have... I'm curious now about the Hubs too, maybe its a completely different suspension, brake, etc. setup down there.
  21. Ah, i see what you are seeing now. Its probably just an aftermarket or custom axle of some kind.
  22. What flange? It looks like a Subaru tranny to me... I dont see anything different. The blue hydrolic device is connected to the giant presurized cylinder thingy, which looks like a heater core or oil cooler of some kind, as its routed back to the front of the car possibly to an extra cooler that you can somewhat see in the front grill in the 2nd picture. It might also be some kind of fire supression system too for a specific race series. That supercharger is awesome though... I just wish my car was 75 or older so I could do what I wanted to the motor...
  23. I sure seriously would if I could, but I have no money and no trailer
