  2. big warrenty voiding devices and use: Autocross is ok for STi and WRX Track days (solo type stuff that doesnt require competition license) is ok for STi....questionable for WRX. Rallycross is ok...for the most part. WRC or other type of rally use Track racing events...as in competitive GT style events Abuse (bouncing off the revlimiter side stepping the clutch) Header+turboback is a VERY iffy subject...most of the time its a no no at most dealers. Boost controller=Automatic drivetrain warrenty GONE Engine management+boost....again, gone. Intake=ok intercooler=iffy again clutch...aka "stage 2.5 or higher" usually voids it big turbo=VOID injectors and stuff=usually VOID Most other items are ok.
  3. you might get seafoam down in Austrailia...basically its a cleaner...and it will clean up any sludge blocking the oil pasages. it works great. the best tihng otherwise it to use synthetic engine oil in it and make sure its changed every 5,000 km...and use OE SUBARU filters. Thats a GREAT looking XT! I've only seen a few looking that good over here.
  4. Actually, yes I can do that.... :-p And I wouldnt want your RX anyways, mine is t3h fAst4r and b3ttAr!! I got your PM.
  5. PM me the VIN so I can make sure its going to show me the key code.
  6. Like i said...I can get the original blanks...just need your vin to make sure the code is on the report.
  7. i dont think he'll give you the blank for free...lol...plus he might not have it in stock.
  8. Coolness, your pulls up a code! I dont have a pic of it tho.
  9. I'll have to look it up. ok, $16.95 actually. Only 12 of them left in the country.
  10. like...the old square original with the green LED in it.
  11. Need your VIN. $6 for the plain metal blank. the ORIGINAL black blanks are about $15.
  12. Correct. For $25 shipped, give me your vin and you will have a STi key.
  13. carfreak85: Indeed. Snowman: It says SUBARU on it. Subarutex: Yes. I did not trace the old key, as it was worn. I cut a new key from the Master Key Code from the VIN. Dr. RX: Nope. Just use the cartridge for the SR5 blank, tell the PC its an SR5, and let it do its job. One normal pass and its done. Yes, the SR8 thicker than the SR5, but I did NOT have to do anything special. viehmann: Yes, it can be done. No April fools joke here. Just ask Templar.
  14. Its almost complete! muhhahahahah! YES, the key works...PERFECTLY. The older cars (up to 2000, 2002 for Impret-za IIRC) are the SR5 keyblank, and the new ones are SR8...I took an SR8 and cut it with the SR8 coding and cutter...and it worked...so, we had the STi blank in stock, and there it is.
  15. the limitation of mods to the OB is just going to be the STi struts, the normal maintiance, MAYBE an exhaust...definatly some wheels and tires. Otherwise...tint, speakers, seats. The RX will be resting up for the start up of the rest of the autox season. its already going to be missing out of 4 autox's so far.
  16. your knob is on the way as of friday. as soon as I see the RX in the morning all of the EJ madness will dissapear.
  17. So i got this 96 Outback... ok, its needs struts. STi struts laying around? ok. Cool. Wait...that means I can autox this beast...Falkens? ok! Lets prep it for STS.... Wait...exhaust...Boral...Stromung cat back....wwwwwwAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! track day comming up...RX or outback? Ummm Outback! NO2s!!!!!!!!! I am falling towards the dark side!
  18. STi struts+springs+215/45/16 RT-215s+Autospazic 4.444 gearing=STS legal.
  19. More than 3k for a new (RX box, FT4WD D/R is about $4,500 NEW). About $1000~$1500 for a rebuild.
