Thats THREE in a row!
Saturday, April 9th...EARLY AM...RX pukes coolant out the exhaust...later deemed b0rk3d and left in Atlanta....true cause still unknown, suspected head cracked horribly for unknown reasons. Later fixed and now it runs perfectly again. Saturday, April 16th, ~5pm....RX 1-3 side cam pully bolts back out, allowing the cam pully to fly off and the timing belt is gone. Later fixed and now it runs perfectly again. Saturday, April 23rd, 1:20 PM....RX pukes the 2-4 side timing belt in the middle of traffic turning into the apartment complex. (I must have set a new record in timing belt replacement, as its 2:02 as it type this...) Fixed about 10 mins ago and it ran perfect all 400 feet to its parking spot beside the Outback. So...I wonder what is going to happen NEXT satuday to the car...?

Upcoming 2nd Annual East Coast Subaru Show
I wont be making it this year. The RX needs alot of work before I drive it that far....im sure that by next year it will be ready for such a trip+autox+track days and no break anything within 1000 miles. Next year fellas, sorry. cant even make it with the Outback either...not enough $ and cant get off of work either.

Is your Subaru dealer competent?
The vin for any of the Impreza 1993+ and the Legacy 1995+ is needed because its cataloged EXACTLY what part goes onto each car, so from the VIN information, we can narrow down 036520937 possible interior color codes to one....the VIN also has the exact production date so it rules out all the other stuff. The VIN does not work on the 1st gen legacys as they were not cataloged 100%...sometimes it workes, sometimes not. As for the Leones....you can punch in the vin and it will tell you what it is, but the Parts filter for the VIN does not work. There is no way you can screw up a 3AT front seal unless you are completely stupid. Its simple: 2wd or 4wd? turbo or non turbo? 4 speed or 3 speed auto? what year? Yeah, ive got that one in stock. Easy. IIRC the 3AT's are all the same regardless of turob, 4wd, and year. JATCO 3AT=same across the line. The only reason *I* would need a vin for a Leone is to get the key code to make a key. Otherwise, if its 93+ Impreza, 95+ Legacy....I get the VIN to make sure I get the right part. Its especially important when body shops call in for interior parts, and shops call in for small electrical parts for the engine or transmission.

Can a bad o2 sensor make my car ping?

5-lug questions for the gurus
No, GM8 is not coupe. GM6 is 2.5 RS Coupe USDM spec. GC6 is 2.5 RS sedan USDM spec. GC8 is Sedan AND Coupe, non US spec WRX and STi with the EJ20x turob engine and 5spd manual. refering to an RS as a GC8 is NOT correct.

STi BL!NG y0!!
Got it and responded.

Is your Subaru dealer competent?
just for EVEYONE's future reference...the VIN filter does NOT work on any of the SUBARU Leone/Loyales...
-
I bought a Turbo Legacy (or two)
You beeotch. Great score tho!
-
Is your Subaru dealer competent?
Yeh, its pretty sad to call up a random dealer and ask for a common part for the Leone/Loyales...and they right up and say "SUABRU no longer offers any parts for that car" or similar. Then I started working at the dealerships...starting hunting down all the parts for them....again, 90% of the parts are avalible.
-
Is your Subaru dealer competent?
Look guys, *I* and probably the only one who will get a phone call for a...87 carbed 4WD wagon, and look up all the parts, check all the partnumber changes, and check to see if its actually avalible. 90% of the time, the part *IS*, thats right, *IS* AVALIBLE. If you guys ever have any issues, please dont hesistate to call Prestige SUBARU Parts Department. 1-828-298-9600 Ask for Will, thats me. Or you can PM or email (wmaham1701@hotmail.com) your parts request.
