Weber question: DGEV vs. DGAV
Cute.Since no one knows the bolt spacing of the Carter/Weber 1V, how can one say that this adapter for a 5200 Holley to a 1V ford won't work.

What Socket
I tried the 8mm 6 point socket before I asked what to use. It wouldn't hold and I didn't want to moung up the head so the proper socket wouldn't work. After going to 3 auto parts stores, and only finding 3/8" drive E-10's. Ken the counter guy at the last store, after spending quite a while looking in all his tool books, he called his tool dis.. It seems SK has just come out with a deep well 1/4" E-10. But only in a $34 set. But Ken being a great guy said, you buy the one you need and I'll buy the rest. I do believe from now on, I'll buy any parts I need from him.

Rear disc brakes
The 88 Turbo wagon at Mikes bone yard has no rear end. Got the diff today with the axle shafts for $40. I wish he had a ton of Soobs, instead of just one. Stopped by another yard that had a 84 Brat that was rough. The old fart wanted $20 for the fuel door. I told him, it wasn't made out of gold and said tudy luo.

brat tail door price
I think if you shipped them by slow boat, the price is a lot less. My son shipped a big box full of stuff from Italy by boat when he was there, for around $60.. He said it would have cost him over $200. by nornal means. Took a while to get here, month or so. But what a savings.

EA81 tranny Qs
By Joe, I think you filled in the blanks.

brat tail door price
That would be about $165.00 American at the current exchange rate. Thats alittle high for me, but their might be others that need one.

EA81 tranny Qs
You can find a ea81 flywheel and preasure plate or you can use a ea82 flywheel clutch disk and preasure plate, but the bolts that hold the flywheel to the ea81 crankshaft are alittle smaller than the holes in the ea82 flywheel. Also the timing marks, I think are different. There are some who swapped all of the ea82 stuff to the ea81 with no problems.

EA81 tranny Qs
EA81-EA82 Use the Flywheel and Preasure Plate from the motor your using and the Clutch Disc and throwout bearing from the tranny, pilot bearings are the same.

I need help fixing this hole on the bed of my brat
If you use hardener with enamel, which I think every one does nowdays. 2 weeks is more than enough time for it to dry. Now if the guy used Rust-oleum, I'd give it 2 years. LOL

Weber question: DGEV vs. DGAV
If you can't find the dimentions here, go to the parts store and get a base gasket for both carbs. Your going to need them if you make the switch anyway.

That was the only Subaru in that yard besides a Justy. It's a small yard way out in the sticks. If I find any more I'll let you know, aways looking for new parts sources.

Off road tires
I don't know the prices yet. I'm looking for a dealer that sells them with their prices on line, being Sun. and all. I was just doing some surfing this AM and ran across them. Northwest Tire sells them.
