I just might do that.

It will bolt right up. Just use the clutch disk and throw-out bearing of the trans and the preasure plate and flywheel of the EA82 engine. Craven

Here is a neat article about OIL FILTERS. Alot of reading with some very interesting findings. http://people.msoe.edu/~yoderw/oilfilterstudy/oilfilterstudy.html check the links, a ton of info. Craven -

One way to keep the under hood temps. down and increase power on a turbo equipped car is to ceramic coat the pipes and turbo. I read an article about this guy who did it on his Powerstroke diesel. he used this www.techlinecoatings.com.. The stuff is water based and just brushes on. He said after he was done, he could lay his hand on the exhaust with engine up to temp and running. Craven -
Sounds like a semi-plugged heater core. Do a back-flush and see how well it flows and if any crap comes out.

Sorry for typo, both cars are EA82T's
-
You meen a EA82T, don't you?
-
The reason I ask, I might have a line on a pair of EA8T cars. A wagon with a nice body with a bad motor, not sure what's wrong with it, I didn't talk to the guy that long and a 3dr coupe with a good motor and a rusted out body. He got the cars, planning on doing a swap and selling the wagon. But he hasn't had the time to do it. Then would rebuilding the bad engine, maybe with some cams and such and then installing that in the Brat be a better option? Depending what the problem is with the motor.
-
Is that a compresion issue or a mounting thing?
-
Is it possible to fit the turbo system off a EA82 to a EA81 car? Aka 86 Brat.
-
I downloaded the manual and read it, You mention that to put this system on a ea81 you have to do a slight mod. to the dis., but you don't tell what this mod. is. Or maybe I missed it.
-
As long as your car isn't leaking fluids and passes a sniffer test, it shouldn't be anyones damn business what engine or mods. you have in your oun car!!! Just my 2 cents.

Might be old news, but I think it is WILD. What happens when a Subaru WRX STi humps a Subaru Brat? Posted Oct 12, 2004, 1:59 PM ET by Christopher Diken Related entries: Aftermarket This does. The Brat body is on the receiving end of an apparent full STi engine and interior swap, although there’s no word on whether the Brat’s traditional ultra-hazardous jump seats in the pickup bed were preserved. It’s certainly not much of a sleeper in World Rally Blue with those UK-market wheels and exposed FMIC. Plenty of pictures in the link below document the transformation. http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v347/lewlew/?start=0

Thanks pretty much anwsers my ?

I don't know this goes here or some other place, but here go's. Has anyone thought of or put a Mazda RX-7 Rotary engine in a Subaru? Using an adaptor plate to keep the Subaru drivetrain. It seems the size and weight would fit nicely and power these things put out would be quite appealing.

need good online store for front adjustable struts
Craven replied to 86subaru's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Gen II Brats 82-87 come with adjustable front struts, I don't know if you can get the height you want, but you can jack them up some. -

Sorry about that, brats don't have rear struts, so I just assumed they were for the front.
