seat options?
I put the seats out of a 87 3dr in my brat. The (4) mounting holes on the 87 seats are about 1" wider and longer than the Brat seat rails. What I did was cut some 1/8 x 2 1/2" flat iron and bolted that across the 3dr seats and drilled holes for the brat rails to bolt too. Worked great. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=4787&sort=1&cat=500&page=1

My Subaru site.
Back in the old dunebuggy days that's how we pulled the torque-tubes and front ends out of bugs. We would role them up on there sides pull the stuff and role them on a trailer and haul them off to the bone yard.

3 Door Front Glass (windsheild)
- flat pressure plate springs
That would be a problem.- flat pressure plate springs
As long as the center hub dosn't interfer with the flywheel or the P/P and rides on the imput shaft spines. It shouldn't make any differance. But since all the hair pulling crap you've been through, I'd go with the ea82 stuff. I was just thinking about your $ problem.- flat pressure plate springs
The clutch disk should work, if it's the same dia. and spline.- flat pressure plate springs
I measured the ea82 flywheel and p/p from a 87 5sp d/r. The best I could with the tools I had on hand. Flywheel depth= 24/32" or 3/4" Pressure Plate= 19/32"- flat pressure plate springs
The pressure plate butts flat against the fly wheel, the torque setting is so you don't over stress the bolts, so that is not going to change a thing. I wish I could see this thing.- Three wheels?
I think my Brat would, if the right rear wheel was off and as long as I didn't get out of the drivers seat. Pork Chop counter weight:grin:- flat pressure plate springs
I didn't read your other post. A ea81 pressure plate sets deeper in the flywheel than a ea82 PP. Are you sure that you are using an ea82 PP.- flat pressure plate springs
Has the flywheel been machined or turned? To turn a Subaru flywheel the inner face where the clutch disk sets and the outer face where the presure plate bolts to, both have to be turned the same amount. Now it is possable that someone turned the outer face more than the inner, by mistake or maybe to try and get more gripping force out of the clutch. If you can Accurately Measure the distance between the inner and outer faces and post you findings. I have a stock ea82 flywheel I will measure and compare or if someone already has the correct distance in text. Just a thought. Craven- ea82 4x4 camber correction
Good point- ea82 4x4 camber correction
I beg to differ. Your saying, If one tire pointing strait and one tire is pointing off to the right or left, the car is not going to pull one way or another.Craven- Clutch Pressure Plate Force
If the ratios are the same and the presure plate has the same springs. Then there must be something causing the extra drag. Ether the cable or the pivot points.- clutch won't disengage
Just use a hammer and beat the pilot bearing off, it's junk anyway. Get a new one along with clutch and throwout bearing. And by the way change the rear engine seal while you got it apart. When you get the new pilot bearing make sure it slides on the imput shaft.Craven- How wide is too wide (tire question)?
The tire next to the 205 is a 185/70/13.- clutch won't disengage
Is it possable to put the throwout bearing in backwards?- How wide is too wide (tire question)?
Well I got a 205/55/15 Mastercraft(Cooper) mounted on a 15x7 Eagle 028 wheel with 4" backspaceing and tried it on the Brat. I've been trying to upload some pic's. but can't seem too right now. There is a slight clearence problem at the back of the front fender well with the tires turned to the lock, nothing a 3lb. massageing tool won't cure. I believe there wouldn't be a clearence problem at all with a 6" wheel ( Bratenstein). Other than that I think they look pretty good and will work just fine. Hopefully I can get the pic's up soon. Craven The pic's are up now in my gallery.- Used Weber Carbs - Where to look

Might have to get one for the Brat. - flat pressure plate springs
