Thanks guys, I think I'll get one. I just didn't want to throw something cheesie up there that looked worse than the cracks. Maybe someday I'll find a nice dash to replace it with.

Need Advice on EA81 Wagon Hood problem?
Craven replied to cole098's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
To get lube to the hinge bolts, you have to pull the cowl. At least thats what I found. Not hard to do, take off both wiper arms(2 nuts) and 5 screws on the front. Just keep track of the black plastic inserts that the tangs on the cowl that stick into the firewall, some of mine came out with the cowl. -
Whoops! They sent me the wrong motor LOL

That looks more like the guy stored an old leaking car battery there. -

If you see that year Datsun king cab in Michigan, it's got a wooden flat bed on it. The boxes on thoughs things just evaporated, They looked like that one you took a pic of a year or two after they got off the boat. Craven -
Check out the 205/40/16 dang near 8" wide and only 22.40" high http://coopertire.com/us/en/ProductDetails.asp?ProdType=UHP&id=223

A lot of 4x4 Chevy, GMC trucks and Japanese trucks come with 6 lug 16"x7-8" alloy wheels. There is a ton of them on Ebay. I'm looking for the right 15"x 7" my self, for my Brat.

pulled xt motor. didn't disconnect torque converter
Craven replied to aa8jz's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Should be fine, as long as you didn't put a bend in the shaft. If the Subaru auto is like most US automatics, you can pull the shaft all the way out, and inspect it. Then slide it back in.Craven -
Are the Hitachi carbs compatible between a EA81 and EA82 ? Or interchangeble.

Actualy the 205/50/16 is the same or wider than the 215/60/15, not much 1/4"-1/3" or so, depending on what style and make of tire. I want the widest tire that will fit under the fender wells. My concern is the front. How wide can I go and not have a clearance problem when turning?
-
215/60/15's at 25.16" are over 1" taller than the 205/50/16,s 24.06" I do think these wheels look better, than the Pug wheels everyone seems to want.
-
I realy don't care about the performance aspect of the tire. I was just wondering if they would fit my 86 Brat, without lifting or hacking it up?
-
How about these wheels http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7915770746&category=43956 With these tires http://www.mastercrafttires.com/us/en/ProductDetails.asp?ProdType=UHP&id=256 205/50R16 on my Brat? Would they work?

Since they use a 42 or 44mm Mukuni carb for upgrade on a 120 + c.i. Harley. Wouldn't this work on a Soob? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2486852164&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
