  1. It's your car, build it the way you want it to be. If you think putting an EJ in it detracts its value, then it does.
  2. That car must have an awesome weight to horsepower ratio. Looks great too.
  3. Thanks for the tips for OBDI vs OBDII, I'll stick to OBDI. So, you're a subaru nut but you have a LeBaron and your user name is Dodge Aries K? You're also a front wheel drive mopar fan (depending on the year of you LeBaron). What other kind of mopars are you into? My dad has a '74 Dodge Charger (last year before they turned into Cordobas) and a '79 300 (special packaged Cordoba). My first car was a 1982 Chrysler Cordoba, which my dad is currently selling finally, and I'm currently building a 1956 Imperial Coupe. When I was a kid my mom had a powder blue Dodge Aries K with a 2.2L and stick. The only option the car had was AM/FM Radio. The interior was a matching blue vinyl, we used to melt crayons in a pile on hot summer days on the back seat. Once they cooled off at night, we'd get a bid swirled pile of wax that would peel right off the seat! It was a good car that we had for a long time.

  4. How much would it cost to ship a roof rack and rear bumper with spare tire holder to zip 53185?

  5. Did you buy your roof rack and bumper from HTI? How much was shipping?

  6. You're exactly right, I live on the northern edge of the Town of Waterford before you hit Tichigan. I live on E River Bay Dr, which is only a few miles North of where 164 ends at 36. I drive that few miles of 164 and it is rough on my short wheel based Honda Civic.

  7. mmmmmmmmmm they're spectacularrrrrr.

  8. Tom, when it arrives I'll give you a call and invite you over to check it out with me (bring your Loyale too). I know what I'm doing mechanically, but I learn by my own experience and from others. I'm already learning a little from that rusty '92 Loyale, started replacing the rear driver wheel bearing. Car is really easy to work on, as an engineer I appreciate its simple designs. It would be even easier to work on if it wasn't so rusty. I live just off of Highway 164 on the north side of Waterford, not a long drive from you. I'll let you know when it arrives.

  9. What kind of preventative care? I take good care of my cars, but is there anything above and beyond the usual that I should be aware of?

  10. Hey Tom, I purchased a 1987 GL-10 Turbo wagon from MysteriousXTC. Check the car out in the classified section, just waiting for payment to clear then the car will get shipped from NC.

  11. By the way, I'm still pretty new to the USMB, so how do you PM somebody (assuming PM means private message)?

  12. I did a little calling and emailing around and I found a transporter that can ship the car from your house to my house for about $500, which is a hell of a lot easier than flying down there, getting a taxi to your house, and then driving back without car titled or licensed in my name (and therefore not insured either). I'm ready to send you a money order if you're okay with the price. Let me know. Thanks.

  13. I suppose I should just give you my name and phone number. My name is Jon and my cell number is 262-716-4865. I hope to be able to purchase your wagon. Oh, one last question, does it have a digital dash?

  14. Do the wheels ever rub any where? Do the tires still wear evenly? How do you feel about my offer? Please let me know. I will be busy tonight (ZZ Top & Tom Petty at SummerFest) and I'll be standing up in a wedding tomorrow. I'll check back here when I can.

  15. I would offer $1700 for you wagon, but you would have to be willing to be available for a transporter to come pick it up and ship it to Wisconsin. I could send you a money order or pay by paypal, but they take a cut. You could want to ship and sign title until the money order clears. I'm working on getting shipping quotes right now just in case, but I have a few questions. How much lift is under it, 2"? What brand lift? Any mechanical concerns? I would be counting on you to be honest as a USMB member since it would be too costly for me to come see the car, but I would love to have a nice southern, rust free wagon like this and you have the setup I'm looking for (manual, dual range 4wd, wagon, and so on).

  16. Awesome, thanks Tom!

  17. Tom, thanks for your number, I'll give you a call some time. Do you also happen to have a phone number for Bill (The Beast I Drive)?

  18. Also available are 15"x5" with +13.00mm offset and 3.5 inch backspacing or 15"x6" with -6.00mm offset and 3.25 inch backspacing.

  19. I'm looking into using the wheels in the link below:

    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/USW-27-5554R

15"x5" with VW 5x205mm bolt pattern. Offset is -3.00mm and backspacing is 2.875 inches. How would these look mounted on my '92 Loyale wagon? I don't want the wheels to stick way out of the wheel wells. I don't know what the stock offset and backspacing is, but the stock 13" wheels are a little to far "under" the car for my taste. Planning a 2" lift with 15" wheels for better ground clearance. Do you think this setup would look okay?

  20. Very nice website by the way.

  21. Scott, how do your 4x140mm to 5x205mm adapters affect the wheels' offset and back spacing? Can you send me a picture of the adapters?

  22. When the can of POR-15 says that "only time will remove POR-15" from your skin it means it. Stuff is great though.
  23. Bill, I was given your name by Tom "TheLoyale" in Waukesha, WI. Any way, I'm looking for the cheapest and easiest way to lift a Loyale wagon 2 inches to clear 26" or 27" tires. What do you have? Can you give me a price with shipping to zip code 53185? If I like the price, do I just send you a check with my address?

  24. Will do. If I end up parting out that Loyale I have, I could use a hand from some one that knows what the hell they're doing.

  25. I grew up driving old V8 cars, my '82 Chrysler used to run at 2000 RPM at 70 mph. My Honda (and my wife's) run in the 3000 to 3500 range at highway speeds and I'm still trying to get used to it. If you're aware of a clean Loyale wagon being sold, let me know. My wife's cool with it as long as it's in as good or better shape than my '95 Honda Civic (which I would be forced to sell after purchasing another car). I don't blame her, I do tend to drag home some real gems some times.
