Moving to CA
Hi everyone, I'm moving from Seattle to Monterey, CA for work in mid September! Is there anyone on here in the Monterey area? I hope there are some Subaru nerds like myself around -Lisa

Just moved to north seattle!
Welcome to the neighborhood! It is generally a nice place, and there are lots of us in the area! I'm sure you'll see plenty of awesome subarus around! Definitely heed the warnings though. Tools are not safe in a car overnight. I'm not one of the unfortunate ones who has had stuff stolen, but am not the least bit surprised to hear that it has happened a lot lately in this area. Its a damned shame. Other than that though, you're in a great spot!

Old School get-together in Seattle
He's running well! Jerry and I gave him a "new" fuel pump and a new fuel filter and he started right on up! New timing belt for security since the alternator belt was cracking and I know the timing belt had been sitting on it for a looong time too! He still has his funny little quirks, like the idle that jumps around occasionally, and that valve tick. And while Jerry and I were replacing the fuel pump we discovered approximately 8 holes in the exhaust... so he sounds all grumbly! And he hasn't blown the fuse yet that controls the dashboard lights since he's been running again, but I'm ready for it! I missed my little monster

The trick is to slide under the car and bash up a few knuckles and scratch/chip your nails THEN go get a manicure to fix it all up!

The Old School Reunion Show
Not very many subarus, for sure. But lots of cool cars anyway! It was definitely a nice surprise running into you, Ed (and Jeanne!)! Glad we both got a late start!

Lets Do This 2012 Brat Meet!!!
I mayyyy be able to make it out that way depending on when/where it is and whether I can find a little free time to put a little work on my Brat!

I saw you!
I really wished I was in my Brat when I saw this one! They're the same light blue, 2nd gen. It would have been lots of fun to be lined up in traffic with another of the same! Yo'J lives pretty close to me, so I drop by there sometimes to hang out with him and his subarus! But I don't know of any other Brats in the area. There are a bunch of old subies around for sure though! I get waves sometimes!

I saw you!
Yesterday (Friday, the 13th!) driving your light blue Brat with a cap and old Oregon plates in Seattle by the Ballard Bridge! Our Brats are twinsies! I wasn't driving a Subie at the time, but seeing you in yours made me REALLY wish I was so I could have waved! I was the girl in the Porsche 2 cars ahead of you sitting in traffic who was creeping at you in my side view mirror...

My Dream Brat
If you go through Portland on the way down stop by GD's and have him look at it! You'll get some sound advice.

Snow pics thread. . .
Had some fun today! Just went to a parking lot and played around, but better than sitting on my rump roast on the couch all day!

New from Maine
Haha fair enough! Not gonna lie though, I'd really love to hang out with some good salty Mainers again! There's nothing like a Mainer anywhere else in the world! ...especially Seattle.

New from Maine
Welcome! I lived in Maine for a bunch of years. Moved to Seattle 3 years ago, but still miss it. However my cars are thankful that I prolonged their lives by moving away!

Hello
I have a 1998 EJ22 Impreza hatch. Its my baby! I also have a Brat with an '85 body and accessories, an EA82 motor and 5 speed DR transmission and other fun tweaks. That one is my little monster. For a bunch of years I drove my dad's '99 Legacy wagon. Its the EJ22 Legacy. I love that car too! Its the one that solidified my love for Subarus! I always had a crush on the EA82 wagons when I was growing up, and when my dad got the Legacy I sort of adopted it as my own!
