  1. Well I saved it from the scrappers but I think it's probably more than I'll end up wanting to tackle, plus other projects that need attention first, would anyone be interested in it?
  2. http://imgur.com/a/OoFkD There, I made an album of stuff I took tonight.
  3. Spotted this guy on craigslist about 2 hours away, went out last night and it ended up coming home with me. Not sure what I plan on doing with it, it's got a lot of cancer around the rockers. Runs and drives but the fuel tank rusted so it has a bad gas leak. I'll have to get it in the air and see if it can be patched or if I'll have to try and find a replacement. Not sure if I want to hold onto it and work on fixing it up some or flip it and try to find a good home for it. I'll grab more pictures after work, this was all I got on the way home before I ran out of light. It's got just over 100K miles, just rolled over.
  4. Alright, after a few delays and ordering more parts, finished everything up this afternoon.
  5. Stock neon wheels are a 40mm offset, should be pretty close to Impreza wheels if memory serves. I have a set of Forester wheels with some General Grabbers AT2s that I want to put on but I don't think they will fit without a lift kit. I'm going to try and dig them out as well. Edit: Maybe not, reading around shows they are maybe 53mm or 55mm, somewhere around that area.
  6. Alright, here they are installed on the front wheels with some 15" wheels I had from my Neon laying around. I'll probably do the rears this weekend now that I know everything seems to fit well and I don't have any rubbing issues.
  7. Waiting on a set of new lugnuts to come in before I can finish things up and get her back on the ground. One thing I found while installing them on my Brat is that the bolts holding the adapter to the hub were hitting the wear indicator on my brake pads. Probably just because of the design of whatever pad is currently on there. Looking at your pictures it wasn't an issue for you. I just chopped them off because I have plenty of pad and have the wheels off enough to keep an eye on them. Just something for people to look for before tearing down the road and getting some weird noises or damaging anything.
  8. Got mine in and they look really good. I've got the studs pressed in, which was no real issue, now I just need to find the time to get them mounted.
  9. Mind linking to them? I'm getting ready to install one myself.
  10. Something I've always wanted to do, but where do you even go about getting something like that?
  11. I like where this is going, being very tempted to try and fix my dash after seeing your attempt so far.
  12. Sorry, forgot that part. Nah, I've taken it on and off, gone on road trips, I've never really seen a noticeable drop in MPG or anything.
  13. Yeah, I went out the other night and flipped them on and there was no real reflection I could notice. It's a Yakima Megawarrior rack, I was originally looking for a Loadwarrior but I found a really good deal on craigslist for this one.
  14. Not really, I've never even noticed it before, there isn't any bad glare or anything.
  15. Wow, that looks like quite a score there!
  16. Tried it again and was able to get it to work, turns out my Brat spent some time out in Hawaii! The history record goes back to 96 in Hawaii and then went to California in 98, then Indiana in 05. I wish I could go back farther because it has a dealer sticker on the back from South Carolina which has to be back from way back when since there isn't a SC record in the past 14 years.
  17. Well you guys wanted pics... My First was a 97 Legacy GT Then I picked up a 05 92x After I sold that I picked up an 88 GL wagon from a friend. Actually got to take it out on the track at Mid-Ohio for a few laps haha I've got the Forester now as my daily driver, came down from Canada and has the Dynastar "package" so it has the running boards on it. It got totaled out in April when I got rear ended by a drunk driver but I was able to get it aligned and I'm still driving it today Now I have my Brat that going to become a project when I can afford more parts. (Let me know if it's too many pictures and I'll tone it down a bit lol I love pics!)
  18. Very exciting news! Looking forward to seeing some of the new stuff. Any plans of doing any group buys next spring or when you launch some of the new items?
  19. Falling in love with this thread. Keep em coming! I'm filling my hard drive!
  20. Hey I'm in there...somewhere lol Good to see some other IICers over here
  21. I towed about 2, 2 1/2 hours to get it home, Forester did a fine job with it, no issues what so ever. Right now it's probably not gonna see too much, if any, action this winter, and if it does it gonna get a bath pretty quick. Still trying to figure out what I want my plans for it to be. Not sure if i want to lift it, put big wheels and tires and go off-roading or just clean it up, repaint it and have it be a nice driver or a bit of both. very open to peoples input right now. Right now I'm just combing through the boards looking for info and ideas. She has around 172k on the clock right now with a 4-Speed. Right now there is very little rust on the car and what is there is mainly just surface rust. Passenger fender the paint is completely shot and dented, along with the dent and missing trim on the door. it also doesn't have a window and the crank handle inside it broken. Taillights are cracked and broken and the rear bumper on the drivers side is bashed in. Trim on the tailgate is about to come off as all the clips it is screwed into are broken ( If I can find new plastic clips that'd be awesome!) Needs paint and the Brat letting is cracked pretty bad. Dash pad is cracked pretty bad. Seats are tore up. T-tops are in good shape along with the seals and don't leak. That's most of the cosmetic stuff though. Mechanically it's doing alright, most the suspension stuff needs changed, ball joints, tie rod ends, struts, bushings, etc. Front CV axles are shot. Shifter has alot of play in it and needs new bushings. Water pump is shot and leaking coolant at the shaft and making an awful racket. I think the rear main and crank seals may be leaking some oil but nothing too bad, haven't noticed any on the ground but see it on the trans and oil pan/pump. Exhaust needs replaced just about everywhere. I think the fuel level sender is done, it will only read a 3/4 tank after a fill up. Engine idle is way high, at like 1500 RPM ( First Carb'd motor I'm going to have the pleasure of working on so this should be interesting ) I think that about sums up whats going on with it when I bought it. Right now the only things I really have planned to do until I figure out what direction I want to take are finding a set of Jumpseats for the bed ( may already have this taken care of if SuperBrat finds me worthy of taking my money ) and bed-lining the bed and floor in the cabin ( previous owner took out the old carpet ) Water pump, hoses, and thermostat are probably gonna get done tomorrow. Then either finding a better door with glass or just replacement glass. Then just basic tune up stuff until I can come up with a plan for its future. I got it out at lunchtime today and snapped a few pictures, i have tomorrow off and i plan of taking some better ones with a real camera instead of my cell phone. Only had her a few days now but I'm already in love. My 5th Subaru, she needs a name.
