  1. how is the rear bumper or cover held on ? it looks like there is 2 pieces , the top cover on mine needs replaced, , i know there is reinforcement underneith , on a 97 legacy L wagon, any good places to get one ? + a rear hatch ,white in color ,thanks
  2. nothing wrong with doing work out in the street, i have stripped out many subaru's and only the shell sitting in my driveway, for a few days, by the pics it was fairly cold out ,
  3. are all crank sensors + coolant temp sensors the same from ej22 ej18 ej25 , or from 1994 and up ? legacy
  4. i use the stick on type on the cornor's , they work pretty good, [ round type mirror's stuck onto both side mirror's ] can be bought from any parts store , , just leave them on all the time , because there is a blind spot anyways,
  5. my new hanhooks handle really well on dry payment etc... 185-70r 14, and they are snow tires
  6. well then i guess i should tell my wife that our 97 awd legacy L wagon is junk and we should scrap it + my 95 legacy also , and buy the toyota land cruiser + a new toyota truck for me,
  7. looking at it closer during day light , i could see where his car pushed my rear bumper and dented the hatch , it does not close right , + i can see his license plate # inbeded into my bumper , not sure about his car , but the windshield was cracked + air bag deployed , i was going off a exit ramp i stopped because of the cars in front of me when ran into me , good thing no one was hurt , the cops were not sure of his insurance company , but they hauled him away , on other charges
  8. yes hatch opens good, all lights work ,just small dents on hatch , the bumper needs replaced , thanks,
  9. last night we were rearended and there is some damage, the rear bumper is pushed up + the hatch is dented, my question is how munch is a new rear bumper + hatch ? 97 legacy L awd a/t wagon , + labor , [ white in color ] just a ball park figure , the other driver was at fault , yes the car is only worth so much , and it is very drivable ,thanks
  10. ok, i;ll buy a vacuum gauge when i have a chance , limited parts stores in my area, and they close early, i have no clue when the plugs / wires were changed , when i got the car the mpg was aleast 25mpg just 2 months ago , since then it has dropped badly, so why another 60 bucks , when i never replaced them
  11. new timing belt, water pump, 162,000 on motor, just did a tranny flush / fill, the reason why i say it is bad cat ,is because of the bad egg smell when i start it up and idle,
  12. ok, my mpg is now 12 city, and getting worse, no E check here, and real slugish , but going to change the plugs and wires, already changed the air filter ,fuel filter , thanks
  13. it seems that my cat is pluged up ,on my 95 legacy L a/t awd wagon 2.2 . what would happen if i degut the cat ? yes i know it is not legal
  14. i did both sides this past weekend , and marked the bolts before i started , the car before this would pull to the right , but i have very bad tires all the way around , which side would i adjust to correct this after i get new tires ? the top bolts are for adjustment
  15. i did find 1 pretty loose axle nut ,, maybe i did some thing wrong ,but i had to remove both bolts,so i could move the hub around to get the axle out and back in , but job is done + no noise or anything else ,
  16. i finally got it , + lined up all my marks on the strut bolts , i marked top and bottom bolts just to be on the safe side, i saw the notch on the old axle nut where it fits into the nut, it took me about 3 hours to do both sides, + cleaned off the brake rotor , becuase a few times i touched it + had a few cold drinks in between each one , thanks for all the help,
  17. it's in as far as it goes, now having trouble getting it into the hub ,?just not enough room ,boy next time going to take to a shop,
  18. ok, on the marks, now having trouble getting axle into tranny , it seems not to go in all the way, it lines up ,but will not go in any further, ?
  19. went to change out my front axles on my 97 legacy L wagon a/t awd wagon, 2.2 engine, marked the top strut bolt, went by the right up, went good, my question is should there be a cone washer behind the axle nut? and i was thinking there was a key way there also ? my new axles only came with the axle nut no cone washer ? i have replace axles on ea82 cars ,but they must be alittle different .thanks
