picture of the problem perhaps?

Should there be a resolution specification? Some of the pictures in the posted links look like they might get really grainy when blown up to calendar size.

Safari is v1.0 OSX 10.2.8 :-)

My waterpump siezed in my 95 2.2L Impreza. It made lots of loud whining/grinding noises before it gave up with a smoke show to boot.

I have all of these manuals and every archived article from the endwrench burned on a disc now. The pre 97 Impreza ones are nice, but theyre only bits and pieces. The 1997-98 section on that one page is only for PC's. I checked them out at school today and they are great scans. Everything else works on all platforms though :-)

Sometimes when I use Safari (The Mac browser) it has the same problems you talk of...but youre on a PC

I can't stand the seats in my 95L. They are really really bad. Making 5 hour drives to Boston a couple times a month is such a pain in the rump roast. Plus, I don't have cruise control...boy that would be nice! Looks sharp though

the free offer I was using was expired. I would have posted it, but when I found it, it was only valid for 15 more minutes so I just ran it myself. If I find another, ill post. that being said, carfax doesn't catch everything. I have had 2 claims on my car...one was $3500 and another was just shy of $1000. Neither show up. The $3500 was an act of nature, and the $1000 was an act of vandalism/hate targeted against me from my girlfriends roomie...long story:rolleyes: Anyhow, I also know of people who have totaled their car and it hasnt showed up either....so the old saying "Buyer Beware" still stands I guess!

a while ago the subaru of japan site had their official defo. of what AWD was. Without remembering it word for word, it basically said, "The on-road version of 4WD", and that is why the Legacy was badged as 4WD first. As they realized they could bank hardcore on the AWD system in America, they got the word out as to what it was, how it worked, and how it was different than 4WD.

wasnt really a specific year. The AWD legacy was introduced in late 89 as a 90. The Loyales last year, which was 4wd, was 94. The Impreza was introduced in 93, and that was awd. In 1996 they droped FWD and just made everything AWD.

My heat shields have rusted off at the ends a little, and they now vibrate on my front skid plate....very urban:banana:

Just FYI, if anyone wants to know another source for these. Check out 88-89 Mitsu Monteros/Dodge Raider. The horizontal and vertical meters are on the same meter thing. Additionally, they have a built in oil pressure gauge and a battery voltage meter....I noticed the Tercels don't have that setup. Kevin :-)

Ive got Cooper Cobra GTH's in the summer and Hercules Polar Trax in the winter (division of cooper...clone of the old Cooper Weathermaster) and I dont have any issues.

yep...every subaru engine is horizontally opposed except for the Justy which was an inline 3

all autos. I have one. the 2.2L in 1996 came standard with a manual.

contact subaru, write them a letter, ect. Be very polite, and they will probably give you 1/2 of the repair costs as a goodwill gesture. I know, becuase they did it for me after I wrote them a nice letter when some stuff went wrong on my car and it was JUST out of warranty. Good luck!! Kevin
