  1. In addition to checking the above: The charging cable connection at the alternator should be checked and the fusible link between it and the battery.
  2. Nice shop and house. Do you have any plans for getting the rear to flex more?
  3. OEM thermostat, runs about 1/3 of the way up. Fans kick on just below half, which I assume is 210 degrees F.
  4. I don't use the covers as well. Most of the bolts had seized and at one point in the cars life, one of the outer covers came off and the belt had chewed through most of it.
  5. Looks like I spoke too soon. The guy selling me a wheelset sold it to someone else this morning. I'm going to keep looking for the time being.
  6. I don't think I can PM yet. Has anyone volunteered yet? I'm ready and willing.
  7. I was actually planning to ask this same question, to see if anyone knew of aftermarket bushings, or endlinks from another car that worked. I was at the dealership this morning and checked on the price. Each bushing is $8, so unless they are two pieces on each end, you're looking at $32. I've already replaced the bracket to frame bushings at ~$6 each.
  8. All of the timing belt covers were left off when I changed the belts. Both tensioners and the idler were replaced with new as well; the suspected originals were beyond worn out! Thanks for the help everyone.
  9. So I came across a listing on ebay for a new Beck/Arnley oil pump for $23. I figured someone forgot to type a 1 in front of the 2, so I bought it. What showed up was a Paraut brand. I figured anything is better than the one I just re-installed that didn't meet spec and had gouged rotors. A second question I pulled all the covers off when I did belts/seals/etc. Is it possible to slip the drivers-side timing belt off the idler, and then off the oil pump, all while leaving everything else in place? Thanks for the help.
  10. Perhaps I'm missing something, but at 25mm thick, how would the 4 lug nuts be able to sit flush or deeper in the adapter and still leave enough material to not rip apart? If that's possible, I would be ready to pay. I've looked into this, and the thinnest I've been told is 1.25", and that's what held me back.
  11. Wow, that body does look great for that many miles! That would pass for 100k around here.
  12. That console turned out nice! Your fuel mileage probably isn't accurate with only driven a few miles. I can get my Yukon to get 17mpg too, but over a couple of 30 gallon tank fulls it's more like 12-14mpg. When I first bought my Loyale I filled back up after 50 miles and it made 42mpg and I was ecstatic, but after a couple full tank runs, it was more like 28mpg.
  13. Mine as well, and I still have over 5 gallons of fuel left.
  14. Ranch, Superlift, Pro-comp, and all the others are typically a twin-tube design that is junk. At least that is my experience in the full-size truck world. The higher price of a mono-tube Bilstein or Gabriel will pay for itself in performance and longevity.
  15. I paid $700 and drove it back from Pleasant Grove with exhaust dumping straight out of the left head and stuck in 4wd. I've put about that much in it, but it's turned out to be a reliable but quirky little car. Oh, you'll make it up Little Cottonwood but don't plan on exceeding the speed limit. haha
  16. I live here, just bought a '92 Loyale as a second car to supplement my 11mpg truck. I may just dump the truck soon because of lack of use.
  17. The exhaust heat shields wouldn't be a bad thing to check. They run from the engine to the muffler. Mine rattle occasionally with certain rpms. We don't have 4 seasons? Come on, spring and fall lasts at LEAST two weeks combined.
  18. **This only matters if you are still producing these. ** What is the turn-around time from payment to shipment for a 2" kit? I would like to purchase one for a Christmas present. Thanks
  19. From what I remember about someone that had one, 11mpg was good for stock. They are full time 4wd and 6k+ lbs. Those are awesome 4wd's in stock form too; solid front and rear axles, offset rear diff, and some had full floating rear axles.
  20. Why are you so hostile? I may be a female rocket scientist working for NASA, ya never know...
  21. My eyes hurt from looking at your posts. Spaces, punctuation, and paragraphs don't add much time in typing. So you swapped a motor?
