Greeting from washington
Welcome. Lots of Subie owners in WA around you. Hopefully someone from that area will say hi here.

New Lad from New Zealand
Welcome - always love to hear from the folks in Australia and New Zealand. You get some neat vehicles that we don't get in the states. Nice rides. We seem to be amassing a subie stable. Have 82 Brat, 83 Wagon, 86 Hatch and our newest is a 95 Impreza Wagon that has been modified into a rally car. We plan to do rally cross for the first time at the end of the month.

Car Stolen... Seattle Area
We'll keep our eyes open in Portland area for the car - never know. Wasn't thinking you had bad Karma - meant that the punks that stole the care are gonna have a lot of BAD things coming their way!

Can I get a Amen...??
Hmmm - the midlife crisis "new" car at our house is a 95 Impreza Rally Car that Ken is driving in the Rally Cross at Hillsboro the end of May. I was thinking the guys bought toys for fun (or built them) like great 4 wheelers of out old subies. Guess it's different if you live in Indianapolis and are on a different life path. We enjoy simplier things. Well welcome anyway to the forum.

Car Stolen... Seattle Area
Totally sucks! Hope Karma comes bites them on the A--!!!!!!!! 2 worst things to do to a person - steal their only vehicle and take their tools. We've been lucky that we haven't had anything more than a bicycle stolen over the years. Although my neighbor across the street did call the cops when 3 young men were trying to steal Ken's 83 Wagon. What are they just totally stupid - same crime for a new Porche as an 83 wagon. Glad to hear that another member close can help you out. We'll keep our eyes out for it in Portland metro area too. Did you say what the plate # is?

noobie
Welcome. I think there are quite a few members in NV - hopefully they will speak up. If you can - think about going to WCSS12 in August (do a search for info) as there are great people at these shows!

1983 GL D/R Wagon
GD - thanks for the shifting w/o a clutch pointer. I knew it was do-able but never had it explained like that. I'll keep that in mind for next time a clutch cable breaks or something and I don't want to call AAA. Although I must say we have AAA Premium - 100 mile tow and it really helps alot - up to 8 tows a yr (2 members) for a total of only $129.

UK noob
Welcome - there are other members in UK also. As Loyale 2.7 says, many international members too. I always like seeing pics of foreign Subies we don't get in the US.

B.R.A.T. Meet 2010
Thanks Fenix747 and Twitch - we wanted to come but with someone being unemployed for 6 mos. and that darn 95 Impreza rally car sneaking in my driveway Monday night, I guess we just got diverted. But come hell or high water, we will be at WCSS12 and I'm bringing my 86 Hatch. Ken I'm sure will be trying to decide if he is driving the rally car or his 82 Brat. Of course if he were bringing the Brat he would have to finish fixing the darn thing. So look forward to seeing everyone August at WCSS (and you too Pooperu. Lynn

B.R.A.T. Meet 2010
Yeah, sorry we can't make the Brat meet too - but hope to see all of you at WCSS 12 and who knows maybe next year at a Brat meet.

Hi from BG, WA.
Welcome to the board. Lots of knowledgeable people here.

B.R.A.T. Meet 2010
I'm sorry to say that we are going to have to miss the BRAT meet. Was so looking forward to meeting all of you but hopefully we will see most at WCSS12 right? Our 82 Brat isn't licensed and registered yet and still needs some work. Anyway, Ken and I made an unplanned purchase this weekend. We bought the 95 Impreza rally car posted in Portland area craigslist and on USMB too. This was a totally unplanned purchase. Ken is planning on doing the rally cross race in Hillsboro on May 30.

Restored Green Gen 2 BRAT
very nice, but I agree - with that green - should have teenage mutant ninja turtle stickers on it.

B.R.A.T. Meet 2010
Work on our 82 Brat is progressing much slower than I had anticipated. Doubt, at this rate, that we will have it licensed and ready for a road trip by end of May. Hopefully it will be rolling by WCSS 12 through as I plan on Ken driving his Brat and I'm driving my 86 Hatch. We will join you if we can Memorial Day weekend though! Lynn

1st time Subi owner
Layoff do really suck - seems like we know a lot of people in the same boat. Glad you scored the Brat. Old GL Wagons and Hatchs are very fun too. I have an 86 Hatch that is a blast too and the old 83 wagon goes ride down the road and does pretty well in 4WD. Welcome to the board.

Mechanics/shops in Seattle and Portland areas?
I too recommend SIR in Portland - 2 locations - NE 82nd & Prescott & E Burnside. Great people with lots of years of experience.
