  1. Hey Jerry:

Lynn & Ken from Portland (WCSS11) here. That's Ken's 82 Brat & 95 Impreza Rally car for sale.

We're selling the subies except for my 86 Hatch.

Going to buy a travel trailer and truck.

Hope you and Pam are doing well.

  2. Thanks for the replies so far. Very helpful. Anyone else with comments? Also anyone have a 83 or 84 wagon for sale within 200 miles of Portland OR. If so, send particulars. Thanks, Lynn & Ken
  3. Administrators move this if I'm in the wrong thread. The Silver Surfer has died. But after killiing a Chevy Sonoma mid size truck (it even knocked the rear axle off the truck) it goes to an honorable death. Problem - what is an 1983 Subaru GL wagon worth. It's pretty much totally stock, not lifted has EA81, 4 sp 4WD and was a daily driver capable of making long trips even in hot weather without blowing a head gasket. No big dents or dings. Some of you saw this wagon at WCSS11 in Stevenson. The insurance company is going to low ball us and probably offer us $300-500 we figure. I have talked to an attorney, and he said the insurance company should be paying us "net fair market value" of the vehicle. So what do you folks consider that value of the vehicle. This much loved wagon has a little over 240,000 miles and faithfully goes thru DEQ every two years. Thanks for any help. Oh, and would love to hear from anyone who has similar wagon for sale within 200 miles of Portland, OR in Pacific Northwest Lynn & Ken in Portland, OR
  4. Hey Bill: Cruizing thru Toppenish a week ago Tuesday afternoon and saw your wagon. Recognized it immediately. We were on our way to Ellensburg to pick up a tranny. Just wanted to say hi. We were in our 95 rally car - think multiple colors as we are replacing doors and fenders right now. Lynn & Ken
  5. Ran my first rally race today. The 2 laps at PIR were so fun. And we only took 4 wrong turns during the road rally thru the hills to Estacada LOL. We had a lot of fun and met a lot of great people. And for $25 it was worth every bit of it. Ed and Jeanne Rauschner ran a great race and got a prize. Congrats. I think race results should be posted later tonight. Next year a lot of people should run this race. Lynn Kindred
  6. Hi Jerry: Sorry that Ken and I will not be there this year. He just got a prevailing wage job after being on unemployment since Nov. Hopefully we will get to go next year. Everyone have fun and enjoy the show. Lynn
  7. Glad you got your wagon back and it hadn't been trashed. Amazing - 3 blocks from where you live.
  8. I was suffering withdrawals. So glad the site is back!
  9. Ken had a great time volunteering at the OT rally Friday, Sat & Sun. Took lots of pics and videos. Hopefully he will post a few when he is done going thru them all.
  10. Welcome. Rally Cross race in Hillsboro OR at Washington County fairgrounds on Sunday May 30th. Hope to see you at WCSS12 at Chelan county fairgrounds in August.
  11. Welcome to the board. I assume that is Concrete WA? You might want to check out the WCSS12 link. The conference is at Chelan County Fairgrounds this year (August). Great fun for all.
  12. We'll see you in Hillsboro - Ken has a little work to do on the car and the weather sure isn't cooperating today. Ken was totally whipped when he got home late Sunday night but he was loaded with pics and video which he is sorting out to see what he got. Lynn
  13. Has anyone volunteered to work the rally race in Hood River/The Dalles/Dufur area this weekend? Just curious. Lynn
  14. I would vote a Subie with an EA81 as the best bang for the buck. These things run forever. Hi/low 4WD and a 4 speed is what we have in our 83 wagon and our 86 hatch and we love them. Lynn
  15. Ed, totally understand. I'm staying home to take care of garden, etc. while Ken works the Oregon Trail Rally this weekend. See you in Hillsboro on the 30th. Lynn
  16. has anyone volunteered to work the rally at PIR Friay, and/or Hood River/The Dalles/Dufur Sat or Sun?
  17. Oops - previous post was regarding the Oregon Trail Rally this weekend. Both Ken and I will be in Hillsboro May 30th. Lynn
  18. Ken (floortom) has volunteered for Friday night at PIR and also over the weekend in Hood River and The Dalles. Are you going Ed? I'm staying at home for this one unless I decide to drive up for the day. Lynn
  19. It is Lowes indeed - not Home Depot and actually if you want to be technical it is Hayden Meadows not Delta Park - but you take the DP exit off I-5N.
  20. oops - come to think of it, not sure if I have a sticker under the hood of my 86 Hatch. Wouldn't a Haynes or Chilton manual show the lines?
  21. Nice Subex - pic? I really intend to clean the interior of my 86 Hatch this weekend!
  22. Welcome - this is a great group of people.
  23. Big vote for EA81 - we have 3 cars with them and not a lot can go wrong. They just keep running & running.
  24. Me and floortom in Portland - specifically N. Portland.
