  9. Here a neat trick if you take a rear spring from loyale and put it inside of your sping and put her back together and c thiss works good spring inside a spring will give you twice the load cappacity makes it a bitt stiff

  12. anuther comen problem on the end of the main shaft is a large 34 mm nut that holds the gears to the shaft it likes to come loose and alows the gears to move need to take off awd and tail shaft retiten the nut and should be fixed should be done before nut falls off and gets chewed up this is not a hard fix unless awd is damaged. Should check the end play of input shaft at same time
  13. The 2.2 i just did the timing belt was a bitt tight had to grind a tiny bitt off end of addjuster to get it in i used 2.2 b gaskets with phase 2 heads. In the offroad subies I do we mix and match alot but you must have an eye for deatails one differance thats overlooked and its toast. And i cant say thiss enuff CHANGE THE ROD BERRINGS thiss is any subaru moters weakest link and when they fail the whole moter fails.
  14. I can hear the bad ones when they start cold if it is knocky for more than 1 second when it starts rod berrings are done the key is to time the oil light how long it takes to turn off when starting engine a new engine makes no sounds when starting and oil light is off before it starts. Any knocking on startup is a problem [not piston slap rod knocking ] till it makes oil preshure theese moters give lots of warning before they go you just have to talk to it.
  15. chemicals dont fix problems worn is worn. Put your money into fixing the problem not throwing cemicals at it.
  16. Here in the land of rusty subarus a seized caliper is a dayly acurancae any mosture in the piston and its done

  18. There abosulotly sick work very good I like the mix and match to gain power its nice to have every subaru ej engine apart on floor so i can c the differences.
  19. the best 2.5 is the 95-96 with big pistons the aluminum is cast like the 2.2 b bitt different quality of casting and the biger pistons are not as prone to slap
  20. Make shure you replace the oring on input shaft very importantat
  21. Hey at least you know your injectors are moving feul but mabee there not stoping had one when i did the heads the injectors kept driping feul after engine was shut off intake was still atached to car and it just sat there driping feul the injectors were faulty a problem like thiss whould make for bad malaige would use gas just sitting you can get bad milage not even driving
