  1. Make sure there isnt play in the shaft where the rotor attaches..seem kinda funny that it damaged even the old cap and rotor
  2. Rico.. It sounds like maybe they gave you the wrong part...If Iread that right...the contact on the rotor broke off and also the contacts inside the car are damaged also??.. The screw holding the rotor in place was still in? Did you try to put the old cap and rotor back on to see if it would run to make sure thats where the problem lies?
  3. Nice:slobber::slobber: The Black OBS and the Silver OBS look gorgous..I love your front bumper protector..thinking on getting that and the rear one ..along with the sports grill for mine.. ktsubau..you and me are the only 2 on this board with a true love for these cars. Question 4 U ..have you noticed any excessive paint chipping in front of the rear wheels? Its a problem those with the darker colors are having. I have alittle on my SWP but not bad at all.
  4. Most of it looks pretty easy...Backwoodsboy found the wheel arches somewhere..cheap like $35 each..The back I could fix in a couple hours...Bring it over I will fix it for you. Here is an example of what I have done: Before...really bad patch job..undernieth..nothing..not even floor: After..just a temp patch pop-rivetted and bondo: Then repaint: What rotted out quarter??: You CAN do this..just take your time..ask questions....always remember..if us girls can do it..so can you;)
  5. Lukas...check this ad edrach found..this is a sweet EA81 Sedan 4WD.. http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/car/615293181.html
  6. Well thats what we are here for..to help you achieve that " Look I Fixed It " level .. I am debating myself about stepping into some new territory and doing a structural repair on my XT6 ( Frame rails)
  7. Actually..the welder was only used on the rebuild of the rocker. The metal on Subarus is so thin the in many cases pop-rivetting ( correctly) and filler is all that is needed.. You take up close pics of the rust and I could give you easy ways of fixing it. That car is too pretty to let the rust have its way.
  8. Thats not bad..as long as its good undernieth the rest is cosmetic and ( for me) a pretty easy fix. But I live in the rust belt so ..its kind of a genetic thing we have here:grin:. I have fixed alot worse. Just yesterday we gave someone a crash corse in body repair ( see my thread about hatchsubs sedan)
  9. Thats not bad rust...I could fix that in a day or 2 no problem. Nice score! Nice Car!
  10. Rockys Frame needs a ton of work cause its toast..rodents got him over the winter from sitting so now there is a power drain. Dont know what I plan on doing with him.I have too much tied up so IF he goes he goes in pieces so I can recoupe something. Sorry Lukas for thread hijack. Heres a pic of them taking the bumper off to fix something that broke while we were playing today:
  11. Turbone discovered which relay was blowing mine out..I think he mentioned it was in the clock..not sure ..will have to ask him.
  12. Today..Hatchsub ( Steve) brought his sedan over to meet up with backwoodsboy ( John) and his fantastic welding abilities. We chose my place as a meeting point cause...I have a garage ( though it is small ) and its kinda a middle point. Steve had some minor issues with his cream puff that needed addressed. Plus we gave him some redneck learnend on welding and bondo and glass.. Big Plus.. I GOT TO SEE BUCKY!!!!!!! And he looked so happy..being used ..he was dirty and just had happy subaru written all over him. Anyway here are some pics: What first looked like the nasty area..was easier to fix then we thought: The other nasty area..rocker: Bucky is his dirty glory!: The Master ( Of what we dont know yet LOL) Steves introduction to welding on his own car: Semi-finished Rocker repair ..I had bondo and glass duty: The inner door repair..didnt get a shot of it after sanding and all..maybe Steve will take a shot: And here we thought we somehow caught the car on fire: anyway...lots more pics here..Steve took my Imp for a spin ..and there is proof that i sent Chicken and Dumplins back with John for Jess ( darlingchip) http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f335/Bucky92/Hatchsubs%20Sedan/?start=0
  13. Hey Andrew!! Nice seein your alive and breathing:grin: Wait till the end of April and see my rust free west coast GL-10 coupe;) ( Garage queen baby!)
  14. WTG Paul!!!! Congrats on getting Kat back...wish I could have helped. We just finished doing some body work on hatchsubs beautiful EA81 Sedan ( Backwoodsboy,Hatchsub and Me) so its been an eventful weekend saving Subarus!
  15. hatchsub has one of the sweetest EA81 Sedans around ( subeman90 had one just as sweet but he sold it) and it will be at my house in a few hours for some repair work we are doing on it. Not to step on toes but here are hatchsubs and subeman90s X: hatchsubs beauty: Subeman90s X beauty: side note...they were both at he same place at the same time...last years Import Car Show in Carlisle PA. I also have a friend with 2 or 3 junker sedans stashed in the yard
  16. Fingers Crossed for you Paul! And I know Kat is itching to stretch her legs again too
  17. :slobber::slobber: The 08 Outbacks:slobber::slobber: I was all over one when I got the Imp but it was about $6000 more then my Imp.:-\ Good Luck with whichever works best for you
  18. So what you doing on the internet?? Go shovel the rest young-un!!:-p:grin:
  19. What he is asking is which car is it...Its definately a Subaru coupe/hardtop...Like my new baby.
  20. :lol::lol::lol::lol: Bwahahahaha:lol::lol::lol::lol: Good One Kyle!!
  21. I know with the 08 Imps the WRX and the STis have the full guage clusters..the 2.5i has just the light. I am sure the sports model Foresters will have the same full clusters...at least you wuld think but you never know.
  22. Paul that picture is classic!!! I am sure the Pretty half was having fun wasnt she??. I cant wait to hear the news that the Lovely Kat is back running on all 4s!
  23. The deal with the temp light is...its actually better then the old idiot lights..shows blue when cold..goes off when normal and ( I guess) shows red when it gets hot. Not saying its great knowing the history of these motors but still slightly better thenthe old fashioned idiot light. I am thinking on maybe..in the future..going with a pillar guage set up..but it has to look good cause..well..I like my cars "clean". NICE!! Blue guages?? Way Cool! I like my Red but Blue would be awesome.
  24. I looked real close John..and it looks like they dont carry the rocker for the 84..it says 85-94..but they do have the wheel arches. I think they are just using the pic of the Gen 2 just for a pic of location of the parts
  25. What color are your plugs?? Could be a timing issue..just a small adjustment at the ditsy. You CEL isnt on? ( Check Engine Light)
