Bye bye RS
Bucky92 replied to bratman18's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXCongrats Jason!! good deal. I want to get rd of my Legacy and get a Forester..not happy with the power output of the EJ22 on my 95..with the way traffic is around here..slow is not an option. The Foresters are awesome..have everything you need.. power and room!! ( I need the room for the dogs..they arent allowed in my Impreza ) Cant wait to see the pics when you pick it up

95 legacy opinions
Bucky92 replied to PLRuney's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThat area is very normal to have rust.. its common. I am one of the lucky few who have one without any rust there. Rust is fairly easy to fix and treat. Its something everyone in the Rusty areas should learn. Fix it now before it gets too cold and they start salting the roads. I wouldnt mind seeing better pics of the rust to determine better.

95 legacy opinions
Bucky92 replied to PLRuney's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI think the price is way high personally. I was toying with selling my 95 lego wagon for awhile now...and selling it for alot less. I agree with gary..check it over for rust real well...along with the maintenance of it. For that price I believe it would have to be in darn near perfect shape. Here in NW Connecticut you can find 95s in that shape or better for $1800 and less.

Bucky92 replied to The Dude's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe back of the stereo the AUX ports in the back... its actually an extremely simple thing to do... and I was looking at my stereo today..it says right on it MP3 WMA etc compatible so your dealer is full of KaaKaa. These stereos are set up to accept about everything... even factory installed Sat radio

MP3 For 2009 Impreza-Nickle and Dime
Bucky92 replied to The Dude's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI had the Aux jack installed in mine.. The CD/AUX button is so you can shuffle between the CD and whatever...like going to CD from the radio. If you get an accessory catalog you will find the aux jack kit. its like $60..but you will see that it basically plugs into the back of the stereo and runs under the center console. The stereo will work with MP3 ipod and sat radio once you plug it into that mini jack. ( I have a base model 08 Imp so its bare bones and mine works with everything). I had mine in for a regular check up and they installed my jack labor free... I just paid for the unit. Warning though..if you do it yourself be very careful getting the surround off.. my dealer did mine and put two marks into it.. its a $105 part to replace...lucky I didnt have to pay for that. I have had mine for almost 2 years now and no problems no complaints

Bucky92 replied to nipper's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI could fix the rust for you...but you would still have to get a new decal and possibly have a wee bit repainted

Subaru is a PREMIUM Car
Bucky92 replied to The Dude's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI can get you a picture of the rear of the car and it will put it in perspective.. I just mentioned the small trucks cause they are great to have around as yard vehicles...and can be had on the cheap

Subaru is a PREMIUM Car
Bucky92 replied to The Dude's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe design of the 08/09 Imprezas does not allow them to be fitted for a tow hitch..older models yes..the OP was talking about an 09 model in comparison to an 10 .. It sounds like they have redesigned them to allow for a hitch. As for the small trucks.. I have owned many and actually love them..they can be had cheap and are surprisingly capable with the smaller motors. ( its all in the gearing ) an 07 or older Impreza should have the towing specs. I own an 08 Imp and I can see why they arent rated..there is no way of attaching a hitch to the car.

Subaru is a PREMIUM Car
Bucky92 replied to The Dude's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe towing factor of the Impreza was discussed over on Nasioc... It is actually stated in my owners manual for my 08 that it cannot be used for towing.I believe t has something to do with the rear exhaust design etc..they probably redesigned for 2010. I wouldnt want to haul with my Imp anyway.. I have a beater with a heater legacy for that if needed. But I would give it up for a Forester I think without much arm twisting. Foresters are great! As for the comment on buying a new car.. I couldnt be more happy that having bought a brand new car.. I know 100% of its maintenance and dont plan on getting rid of it till there is nothing left of it..and that warranty alone is nice for a change. My 08 is 2 years old now and still looks like the day I bought it.. I just got tired of fixing other peoples junk and was always pot luck if it was going to be a good one or not.

CT Cookout July 25th.A West Coaster will be here.
Thanks everyone. It was great that Psyko called and spent some time harrassing everyone..and starting the war between Backwoodsboy and himself again. ( it makes for a great laugh listening to them go back and forth) Sitting around the fire roasting marshmellows. All in all I just hope everyone enjoyed themselves. It was great seeing WagonsOnly again and the Scorpio was way cool! Wow I didnt get one picture though. But I think Rob did.

My first Impreza
Bucky92 replied to glh1975's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI have/had EA81s , EA82s, 2 Imprezas and a Legacy... It all depends what you want.. I actually prefer the Imprezas..lighter and feel less lumbering.. I prefer the smaller more nimble cars. My 93 Impreza I probably would have liked more if it would have had the EJ22 instead of the EJ18. I love my current Impreza but it cant count..too new..but when I got it I was actually in the market for an older one. The Legacies have more room..but IMO are more 'boaty' feeling. Maybe if mine was a MT I would think different but for now..its a boat. The EJ22 though is such an easy motor to work on..and when in a smaller lighter car its quick and very fuel efficiant. So in a nutshell..cruiser,boat, lots of room....Legacy. smaller, lighter, more fun to drive, better gas mileage....Impreza
