  1. the new 93 is flashing 3 check engine lights, one every second, followed by two really quick flashes. Anyone know what its throwing with this code?? Also had a incident twice now where she doesnt want to start, unless I floor the gas then she'll shoot up and run fine...hoping the two are related. beyond that im loving the car so far:banana:
  2. LOL..not that anyone missed me but I couldnt live without a sub anymore...SO i bought a 93 legacy ej22t 5spd 25th anniversay 4dr sedan fully loaded today for 1100.00 bucks. shes in great shape...needs brakes in the worst way and a few other tweaks but couldnt pass it up for the price. anyone know what kind of mileage i'll be gettin with this thing??
  3. here's the scenario. I fill up the car, but it doesnt take nearly as much in either gas or money to fill it up. It only takes roughly 8 gallons to fill it up now, where it use to take 12gal or so. After its filled up, start driving and the gauge shows full for a few miles, then drops down to 7/8 of a tank. The guage seems to drop faster than the actual gas amount. And when it gets almost to empty on the guage, we fill it up and it only takes 8 or so gallons and the trip meter only shows 150-170 miles total??? not sure if the problem is the guage in the dash, a sending unit, or Any body have this issue or know how to narrow down the issue? Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.
  4. Mine does but its a manual Welcome back....and THANKS!!! Thanks for serving our country!!!! Sorry, cant help on the topic at hand but wanted to say thanks.
  5. yep....did it yesterday...have not drove it yet though...I need to replace cv's, wheel bearing, and brakes today.
  6. nope....havent seen it yet?? That reminds me...I got send some paypal coin your way. Will do first thing monday. I ended up using one off a xt6 and just used my pipe bender to make it fit. It works temporarily until yours arrives.
  7. ahhha...didnt even think about the PCV....Thanks fellas!! Will go get one today. One other issue I am having is the down pipe is being leaked on by something and causing a smokey affect when I turn it off?? Gotta look into over the next few days....but she's holding together so far
  8. Got the motor resealed, new gen3 heads, and slapped the motor back in last weekend. WEnt through emissions today and even though I filled the test station with smoke, it passed :-\ . Not sure why its smoking (light blue in color) but this little gl10 is freaking quick compared to my other turbo. This thing is tons of fun to drive and has really impressed me. Cool car and worth the 200 bucks I paid for it and misc parts/labor thereafter. I was hoping the smoke was residual from the rebuild but im kinda leaning more towards rings since its blue?? Any input there?? I should have just done the rings and bearings while it was torn down.....but alas my laziness and lack of patience got the better of me......besides I had no clue what true condition the motor was in when I bought it.
  9. Now that I sold one, I have room...but Im in spokane;) . Wouldnt cost ya a dime:brow:
  10. its a backup so when he looses tires off the brat he has another car to drive:-p
  11. Helped a ton...thanks...thats all I needed as she is running as we speak....getting ready for the road test.
  12. Its for an 88 ea82t awd 5spd. I had to replace the cam cover and put the disty back in. I did a search but am having a hard time finding the procedures for doing timing from ground up, as in replacing the disty, when to put the disty in in comparison to marks on fly wheel and cam sprockets. I did a search and am having a hard time finding the procedures. Anyone have a link to the procedure on this site or others, likes milesfox Thanks
  13. Just glad to hear you are "OK". Im patient and can wait a few weeks....its worth the wait
  14. EXACTLY:lol: he wont even take it on the freeway. Its like Elanor from the movie "gone in 60 seconds". He's afraid of this car....something about tires falling off ?????? dunno????
  15. Id buy one if you started selling them. Im actually ready to buy one right now. As for Ozified, Patrick must be out of town or something cause I cant get a response to my emails over the past few weeks/month? I sent you a pm.
  16. Thanks Morgan....thats what I needed....looks like I'll be testing Ultra Black and see if it holds up.
  17. I used "Ultra Black", which is what Napa told me to use, for the sealer between the heads and the rocker boxes or cam covers (whatever you want to call them). Well, someone mentioned that the silicone based sealer would deteriote or be affected by the oil to the point that it wouldnt be a good choice to use the Ultra Black as the sealer. I called Napa this morning and they told me that even though its silicone based, its oil and gas resistant and should be fine. I really do not want to take the cover off again but if I have to, now is the time as the motor is still out. In addition I used the orange colored gasket maker on the oil pan gasket.....again silicone based. Whats you advice/experience/input/suggestions here. I want to get this put back in today so I can start driving it tomorrow......it sucks not driving the soob. Thanks
  18. Nope....they are the normal lugnut style. I did however get all 16 lugnuts
  19. I was pulling my motor on saturday when Brian called and said "hey, the yard has some 504 pugs that just came in". The kid gave me dibs on them and didnt buy them for himself to resell. I thought that was totally awesome!!! A set of 504 14" pugs for 43 bucks with all 4 chrome trim rings and 3 chrome center caps. Now I justt Ozi to get his orders complete so I can place my order for my lift. Thanks Brian!! EDIT: i didnt put this in the off-topic cause its on-topic.....I got my pugs and now I can start my lift. LOL
  20. My brother-in-law has an 89 xt 2wd auto 4cyl and is a fire fighter for the seatac department. He is a newbie and still on newbie probation. His car, after completely warmed up, constantly flashes the check engine light. He is an hour from the fire department and doesnt want to risk the car breaking down and thus violating his probation by being late. I told him its probably a sensor and he would be ok to drive it until he had time to have codes pulled? Im going to check my chiltons after I post this but im assuming someone knows this constant flash mode and has an answer. He says it resembles his hazards in the fashion in which it flashes....constantly. Any input?? He's gonna call me at 5:15 am and I hope I can give him a good answer. Id hate for the car to die on the way to work and have him violate his probation on my mechanically declined intuition.
  21. hey....sent you an email. If you do need a motor, I know a local guy here in Spokane that has a brand new rebuilt long block for 600 bucks. Really good guy and knows subarus extremely well!! Hope you figure it out:brow:
  22.  ROFL!!!! Glad nothing was too messed up. You're probably gonna need that 9 bucks now to buy a new ball joint
  23. Any downsides to this??? I'll check the timing this morning. Thanks Cool...this thing sat for several years before I got it so it could be a possibility....thanks. Dont think you have to worry about me cutting the gas tank and rewelding
  24. your sik!! That means you can sell me your tmic and ????? hahaha
