  1. Thanks Gary and 987687. The Wiki site is interesting but it seems to show a bunch of models over a bunch of years with one curb weight. That picture of that turbo wagon being 2100lbs. I dunno about that...hehe. I wouldn't even mind compiling a list since there doesn't seem to be any. Gary, you are a genious.
  2. Is there a page or website where I can look up an review all the curb weights of the 80's Subarus? I have looked at the Indyworld website but they don't have curb weights listed. Looking for the lighter turbocharged models. Thanks!
  3. Would be great for a Justy, I think. Not so great for a 2.5ltr, which is twice a big. However, if you choose to go this route, be sure you have a good intercooler. If you keep your exhaust gas temperatures in check, then your low end would be great but your top end would probably suffer a little.
  4. Congrats! A lot of us had to go through the radio removal hassle. Gary has come through as always. Now you are considered an 'expert' at the radio removal from XTs.
  5. So once Charlie made you up a set, was it plug-n-play? Did you have to modify anything and what did you have to modify? Would you modify a set if someone $$$ u too so that it is plug-n-play?
  6. Very nice looking setup. You can send the pics via text to an email account. Try texting it to your email account. I can PM you mine so you can try and I'll get the pics up.
  7. Dang...all my hard work to waste. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=35326&highlight=truth 245cc
  8. How much would you pay for an RX turbo (1986+) that was in perfect condition? Meaning, no rust, great running engine, great interior (No tears), No rust, good running transmission, no electrical gremlins. I talking about and RX turbo that looks and runs like it came off the showroom floor. How much would it be worth to YOU? Interested in replies and thanks!
  9. Whatever you do, after making absolutely sure your cooling systems are in check (Coolant system), Oil flow and air flow (Intercooler).....get your fuel injectors cleaned. I still think after all the reading I have done, fuel injectors #1 and #3 fails or starts to fail and causes some of the havoc I have been seeing over the years here. These cars are old. After having mines clean, I thought it was odd that fuel injectors #1 and #3 on both my XT6 and RX turbo were worse than the others. They may contribute to the overheating when they start to go bad and not kick out as much fuel as called for. Just a thought!
  10. I wish I knew this when I had a RX turbo. I'm tempted to pick up a set of injectors, just in case I get another one. I could have really used those.
  11. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=35326&highlight=fuel+injector "The RX turbo injectors flow an average of 245cc/min."
  12. Posted this at the Subaruxt.com site as well but figured I give it a try here. Does anyone know what the part number is for the exhaust gasket that separates the exhaust manifold and engine exhaust ports? A pic is below. I'd like to pick this up today or order it today as I want to race the car this weekend. It is for a 1989 AWD Subaru XT6 Auto. Thanks!
  13. Lots of votes for EA81s out there. How about EA81Ts? I'm all for boost so I'm curious. I need something to put my Techworks turbo and header on.
  14. Dude! This is one of the funniest AND saddest threads I have read in a long time. The 'funny' part is because it is so damn unbelievable. I think I would've gone insane after that drunk driver plowed into my Scooby. Damn bro! I wish you the best of luck. This just sucks! It reads like something out of a comedy movie.
  15. Ouch! That's what I am trying to avoid.
  16. Hey Vanishing, Making the picture darker does not qualify as freshening up the car. If it does, then tweak the lighting a little brighter and it'll be perfect.
  17. Hey, I had just finished a six-pack of beer and brought over another to share with him and talk about engines and such. He didn't like the kind of beer I took over there and decided to take advantage of me while I was toasted. As soon as I heal up and be sober, I'll fix his arse. J/K
  18. Miss talking to you bud and the folks back at the XT6 board. I only want an old school turbocharged EA81 or EA82 RX or GL10 hatch with a lightweight body (2400-2650lbs). I had plans that fell to the wayside right after you got my intercooler to sit properly Gary. Remember the RX collapsed on the highway outside of DC? The XT6 has a coolant leak at inside the cooling fan area somewhere but was running great without any issues. Willing to drive it down to ya. Will send you a PM to talk about old times. Rest of the peeps! Thanks for helping me get up with Will. He was REALLy passionate about the RX and had similar goals to what I had. I just never got around to cranking up the boost but the car was --><-- close to being ready. Sigh!
  19. Will (WJM), If you are out there and reading this, I'm looking for an RX turbo to own again. Your PM is not accepting messages so this is the only way to contact you. Everyone else, these cars are becoming extinct it seems and nothing in the for sale forum as of late. I'm just shopping around at the moment. Still have a Techworks turbokit in the garage...waiting..... I miss my old RX turbo. Kevin
  20. On the 'refreshing' note, do you think a shop that specializes in air suspensions could do a full refresher job? You know, those shops for the low riders and such.
  21. *Bump*........tracking.
