  1. Thanks I must be partially blind or the holes are full of gunk and oil:eek:
  2. Replaced the plugs, wires, air filter, drained the oil, once I figure out how to get the pan off I'll replace the gasket. So right now it sits on the ramps:mad:
  3. Police.....well you know they do what they want to do or are forced do, not much more, MOST OF THE TIME. Good luck with justice, if I were closer I would love to help, watch your back.
  4. How in the hill sam do you get all the rear pan bolts off without pulling the engine? Maybe.....no, I am just not seeing how one gets to the bolts at the back of the pan:banghead: I'm sure it will be clear as day when one of you points this out to this unknowledged idiot here:-p Any way HELP..
  5. Okay so where is the best place to get a Weber for an 86'Brat?
  6. This might seem silly, but you have checked the battery connections for being tight?
  7. Got to looking at the fuel pump on my 86' Brat, no wonder I'm smelling gas in the garage when go to leave for work. The piece that is screwed into the receiving end of the pump seems to be leaking fuel. I can hear the pump run when I'm at a low enough idle or moving slow enough, I'm just wondering if I should replace the pump? Thoughts?http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums/ii527/DInky261/IMAG0419.jpg
  8. Thanks guys, it's been a long 4 months didn't think I was ever going to get one for a while there. But :Dlooky now!!!! They are Peugot rims 14". I'm not sure what I'm going to have in the works for it, kinda had to drain the fundage jar to get it. At this point it doesn't need much, a Weber carb probably. The previous owner to the one I bought it from rebuilt the carb and spent $250 doing it, seems to me would have been much better off with a Weber. Yeah, I'll add some more pics, I haven't even popped the hood on her yet:banghead::banghead: However I'm still:banana::banana::banana:that I actually closed the deal on this one:banana: Now I'm glad the guy down in Houston bailed on selling his to me, even though that one had the original paint to it.
  9. I'm going to try and get a picture up.http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums/ii527/DInky261/IMAG0411.jpg[/img]"]
  10. Very nice. :banana:I can hardly wait to get mine. I've been looking for nearly 4 months:banana::banana: Friday I'm coming home with it. I HOPE:brow: This is the fourth one, the first three, the guys bailed on selling what they posted. Wish me luck and GOOD vibes. THANKS However, this one comes through, it'll be worth it. I'll post pics Friday, I'm hoping and Praying. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!
  11. Nice video! You move down to Oklahoma you'll lose the opportunity to do that very often if at all. Last year we didn't get anything, so far this year we haven't seen a lick of percipitation, very sad.
  12. Very, VERY nice:cool:
  13. Is there any way to tell if they have been flogged and not having let them cool properly without tearing them appart? When they have 170,000 on them?
  14. Sweet sounding ride! Okay that makes sense to me now, I had to due that to the tractor on the farm that had a Turbo on it.
  15. What is the longevity of the Turbos on those? I don't know much about that part of them. I've always be pretty leery of Turbos.
  16. It does snow just not like where you are at now. There are several more Subaru's running around then there used to be 5-10 years ago. Here is one example http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/3350594826.html I've been very tempted to buy it too.
  17. Looks very good, well done. There are GLs to be had, they are just not as plentiful as some other parts of the country. As far as there being a bunch of Soobie nuts around, I have not run into any in my neck of the country here, aside from myself of course.
  18. Sweet! Let me know when you are heading this way:D As far as welding goes, using a mig is easier. If you have to arc it practice on some scrape if you can. Any sort of wind or breeze is going to make either one harder, not impossible just Harder. No welding a nut to bolt won't be greatly hard. One just needs to get fair amount of bite into both the bolt and nut to get it to hold. Arc welding takes more practice, I think, mig is considerably more forgiving. Hopefully I'll have the Brat acquired that I've got my eye on before you come down this way, so that I'll be able to show it to someone who can truly appreciate a Soobe:D Good luck with the guy at the shop.
  19. Looks like a good buy to me. I was watching that car too, I was thinking that was a good price for it. Good luck with your car.
  20. Wow, how awesome of a mentality you have! Down to earth and not pig headed. Yes you are way above your stated age of 19, I really like how you think about working on your car and ect, I wish we were closer, I would enjoy meeting you. Good luck with getting all your strut bolts out,I know first hand how that one or 2 bolts can really ones Hyde...
  21. :burnout:Very nice, I like it!
  22. Yeah, it is generally always better to take the higher road just really hard, as you know all to well. GOOD for though Chris, regardless you will come out on top just knowing you did the right thing, I think that is part of what makes a good Subaru owner:headbang:
  23. That sucks man, I would want :Flame:the guy that sold me the car...I would drag his <> in an make him pay the fees, just saying, I know that could be really difficult though too.
  24. Cool, I can handle that, thanks for the input Brat78. I'm ready to go ahead and get it, IF I CAN JUST GET HIM TO RESPOND.
  25. That is a sweet looking Brat:-) !: My wife is on board with my getting one now . Now I just need to get a deal locked down on it. Waiting for the guy to call me back.
