  1. Nothing like doing it oneself. Get so much satisfaction with getting it done too.
  2. Thanks for the clarification Numbchux. This was ALWAYS my illusion of paranoia, caution, misinformation, other makes failing, people really not knowing what they were talking about ect…. At least Subaru has done it right here.
  3. Correct me if I’m wrong here. Once those IDIOT LIGHTS come on it’s too late and the damage has been done?
  4. I was surfing Craigslist earlier and found this outback. I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about these Katskins? From what little reading I have done they are a HIGH dollar leather. I’m wondering if they would be worth it. I really prefer the early to late 90s’ outback. Don’t know that this ride would be worth the 30k he’s asking… https://topeka.craigslist.org/cto/d/burlingame-2018-subaru-outback-premium/7376625326.html TIA for any reply’s.
  5. I guess that we’re going to have to agree to disagree! As long as we are in our respective countries then we’ll be on the RIGHT side or LEFT in your case. If we should visit the others country and continue to drive on the side of the road we think is right, it’s going to end HORRIBLY bad for either of us! That being said I would like to visit the LEFT side of the road one day.
  6. Don’t mean to come off as heal or know it all. I’m a bit confused about you saying that you have only ever driven the LHD over there in AUS don’t you PRIMARILY have the RHD there in AUS since you drive on the wrong side of the road there. Feel free to just come KICK me in the head if you want, even though I’ve had a stroke once in a while I deserve it.
  7. Does the clunking go away after the mile?
  8. I probably would have bought a baja years ago, if the legroom hadn’t been less than the outback.
  9. Change of times, d@&$ sure don’t like it. I so much prefer to have the dead tree form.
  10. Sometimes I REALLY hate technology. I get an email saying that there was a reply to this topic yesterday. Now I see it NO where here. 6 years after the fact it was a good read. Post stroke it’s like I never read it before now.
  11. Sweet ride man!!
  12. I like to say Jesus come quickly! I know that he’s going to return in his time. Yeah the world is coming to a VERY sad state of affairs. It has been 6 years now since I was seeing DEAD PEOPLE literally every day. Then I had a stroke. That got me out of the morgue, almost put me on a table there in the process. God wasn’t done with me yet here on this plain. I know that through this process I have been an inspiration to many other people. I say well this is just another bump in the road and I carry on with what needs to be done. I’m able to do quite a bit with only one good hand. I’m not driving YET, I think that has been the biggest thing I miss between that going basically NO where by myself. Any who I’m glad to still be here for this and that. I’m looking forward to being able to walk again with little to no assistance. I’ve come a long way from where I was after I got out of rehab (couldn’t wipe my own rump roast) to now where I don’t need hardly any help at all.
  13. Don’t know about the OP. I’ll be working on a 91 Loyale with a push button 4x4 replacing the clutch at the same time. I THINK I have the SOHC not really sure though. The heads have been surfaced I just need to finish cleaning up the block and put back together. I think it’s been apart for 10 or 11 years. I have pieces all over the front of the garage.
  14. I’ll be doing a gasket swap here soon too. So I’d like to see what other people have to say as well.
  15. I have yet to get mine up and running. I’d certainly be interested in seeing what you have for an option. Yeah the older models are really lacking for the amenities that we have these days.
  16. I’ve got my eye on sections 1-5 there on eBay. I don’t really need them since I was able to download some of them and then the Chilton version (not the same as the FSM though) I’m torn.
  17. Eh that’s okay I need to pay for it anyway. Near as I can figure that is where those details are. I know how it can get when one is sick. Hopefully your ears get cleared up.
  18. Bump message back I’m in serious need of letting stuff go too. I’ve got too much $&@#
  19. Thanks If you’d need to keep it or wanted to keep it. I’d pay for the shipping to me and send it back to you.
  20. That’d be great I just didn’t want to drop a C note on the whole package if I didn’t have to. I’d be willing to pay for section 6 if you have it.
  21. It’s a 1991 Loyale so the 89 should work. I need section 6. The downloads cut off @ 6-1. I think it’s 6-2 that I need for direction on what bulbs to put where.
  22. I’d be interested in the hi/lo one in the future I’m not in a good position to get it right now.
  23. Anyone have a FSM for a Loyale. Seems to be that ALL of the ones that are available are lacking sections 3,4 & 5 and a bunch of 6. I’m wondering if I need to go to eBay and get the paper copies.
