  1. Sorry for the misspelling. I am thinking of buying some property there, and leaving my trusty wagon there so I have a car when I fly up.
  2. I am thinking about bringing and leaving an 85 wagon up there from California. Is there any smog checks, fees for bringing in a car from a different state, any estimate on registration fees. Thanks!
  3. What did it come off of ? Like the one "Myxalplyx" has on his RX. How is this compared to tdo4.
  4. I have a guy who will sell me a tdo4 that has a slight oil leak for almost nothing. Are these rebuildable? Is it worth rebuilding (cost). Or should I just look for a good one.
  5. Who makes the gt-17 turbo, and does it come off any particular vehicle?
  6. Does the car need the switch on to run? Like fuel pump relay bi-pass. Does the aux. radiator fan come on or get power ? Maybe it had fog lights and they were taken off. Hopefully your car has the factory option "NSP" (Nitrous/ Supercharger/ Parachute).
  7. And what are the different positives and negatives of each? Example:What type/ size spools quickest (torque?) . What type/size will produce good top end performance (horsepower). Any real good types to look out for (ball bearing maybe?) that might have come on factory twin turbo setup (example; Porsche/ Bmw/ Mercedes/Acura/Supra...) etc...
  8. What is the japanese twin turbo engine code# EJ20? What are the difficulties using this engine in ea turbo?

  10. I have found jdm ej20t with trans and ecu for $1100 what else is needed? How hard is this swap?
  11. Will it fit under the hood, with hood scoop, and is it too large for an 1.8 ltr engine? Or is a regular (u.s.) wrx type sufficient. What are the plumbing problems?
  12. I get good spark and engine runs briefly. The ecm blinks 1 long two short then repeats. I have hooked up the fuel pump directly to battery (both ways, I hope that didn't mess it up) It still won't start. Thanks for you input! This vechicle has been sitting for a long time, but ran good then. I have drained fuel, and added fuel system (water) cleaner and injecter cleaner.
  13. My fuel pump will only work with the green connectors together (near the ECM) and pulse on and off (test mode?). What should I do next?

  15. Are the spfi and mpfi fuel pumps interchangable. I got a used spfi fuel pump at pick-a-part for my mpfi 85 rx. I realized they were different upon getting home and noticed the size different ( the spfi is smaller, but similar cylindrical shape). Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. That sounds really cool! I can't wait to hear your updates. Does the ej22 have a distributor ? There is a japanese importer down here that had these motors and trans really cheap (Ontario California). I will check soon to see current prices.

  20. Who makes a compatible ball bearing turbo eqivalent approx. to a td04. What kind of cars if any do they come on.
  21. I recently bought a set of Michelin ZA(L)® 81's, intermediate compound, size 17/65/15 (look like 205's). I mounted them on pug. rims. I got them from a pro rally guy, who used them in one rally. So basically the sharp edges are gone. They were on a Mitsubishi Evo. I got lucky and got them for $100, $25 each! He said he will have more soon, but they will be Pirelli's. If I get extras I will post them on the site. As far as the engine, I mostly want drivability (torque & midrange) but, it's got to pull hard all the way to redline too. Am I realistic thinking a td04 turbo can be torquey and drivable? Maybe I should use a supercharger instead? Mercedes has a blower that goes on their 2.3 liter cars. I've seen these cheap on Ebay. Looks like it might fit where the ac compressor goes with alot of mod's.
  22. Yes, the RX would be in the same class as wrx's and evo's etc. And I would probably get last place. As far as being street legal, I will have to smog and register before mod's. I don't know if they will allow this. I will probably just do rallycross, solo2, and practice in my back yard ( there is more than 1000 acres behind my house with dirt fireroads through out). This car is just for fun, and if I really want to compete seriously, I will get a more competitive car in a 2wd class. I don't know much about rally racing, I am trying to learn. Do you compete in rally's?
