  1. that's an awsome pirce. take note of above suggestion "if its garunteed in writing". it's almost too good of a price :/
  2. What you need are some OEM "hub caps" and the plastic snap rings. The caps are so easy to get its the snap rings that you never find intact! They fit in the rim's center hole and just cover your castle nut keeping junk out of there. Prolly can score some off the marketplace. I have several I could send you but no snap rings so they arep retty pointless I use them to hold nuts and bolts peace
  3. Might wanna complement all those fancy ignition components with a real coil that will utilize them Like the Super Stock. Maybe someone can kick you a part number? Mine isnt handy. Peace
  4. I think you just redefined MINT! Shiney jump seats and a winch; what a socre
  5. 143,000 miles and still on the second clutch. Previous owner bought it new and only replaced it once. I havent replaced it yet. Even when I rebuilt the engine the clutch was fine so I just reused it. I'm pretty nice on the clutch tho. Just mean on the drive train
  6. Hmmm would be an interesting road side debate... officer : "your tires stick out beyond the fenders, do you know that is not legal?" Toyofast: "um there are no fenders so how do you know if they are sticking out beyond the fenders?"
  7. that's one angry subaru love the weapons of mass destruction coming out the front!
  8. Bah fuses? That's what the fusible links are fore! Toasted one of mine while wiring dual fans hehe. I was gonna post how I wired up my dual fans but it looks like you have been properly taken care of. Good luck!
  9. Here is my mug shot. This is a great thread! Too bad most of the old links dont work There are a few I still havent seen a pic of. All of the MSN links are broke due to it being a 'secure' section. Also alot of the earthlink and yahoo links are broke http://www.mnchopshop.org/images/sportmaxx/morganm005.jpg
  10. There is a board member running spare rims and offroad treads. Good luck finding a shop that will mount off road meats onto a spare tire rim. Luckily the the USMB member (sorry I dont remember your name!) has the equipment himself to mount them at his own risk. All that "temporary use" bull is just a discliamer to cover their arse. Ive seen plenty of people flying down the highway with spare tires on doing well over 70 (and they say right on the side not to exceed 45 mph). This one guy at my old apt building had a metro with 2 spares up front that he'd ran for so long there was NO tread left (again the tires say do not exceed traveling 50 miles). Heck just yesterday I saw a Civic with a spare on doing 65 down the highway.
  11. HOw's the struts and springs? Old worn out struts will sag
  12. Jack up the car and see if the wheels wiggle perpundicular to the car. That will tell you if its wheel bearings or ball joints. If there is some play look at your bal joints when you wiggle it. If you see them wiggeling too and they look shot... well its ball joint time. If its wiggeling and the ball joints look fine its bearings. It could be some other things but this is a very easy test to start with for trouble shooting this issue. Thanks
  13. If you got the time and space do it up man. Im almost done with my 4WD swap into a 2WD GL wagon. It's alot of work but thanfkully 90% of it is "plug and play" Everything bolts up just like it should have been there. Tough things are noted above and I'll add this one. Its a bithc lineing everything up and helpfull to have another person to look at things from a different angle while you are installing. Another trick to get the whole rear main cross member assembly out is to put the jackstands on each side of the rear main crossmember. Then its fully supported and yo ucan remove all bolts holding it in except the main bolt in the bottom of the rear struts. Now she's just hanging by the struts. Stay clear and undo those last bolts Might want a tire under each hub to break the fall a bit. Peace
  14. That's why I cut that crap off I used to have about shoulder length hair or a bit shorter. I got SOOOOO sick of it getting rediculously dirty, in my face, worring about it getting cought in something, or just blowing around annoying the crap out of me! The final straw was in the sheep barn working under my soob. I had spilled some nasty oil under there. My hair was already a mess from dragging it around on the floor while I was under there. While paying more attention to what I was doing and not where I was putting my head; my hair slid to one side and plop... right in the nasty sludge oil that had mixed with whatever else was in my har and on that dirty sheep barn floor.... Next day I looked like I was ready for boot camp
  15. There is a free Justy a guy is getting rid of here in MN. Engine is fine he says just a fuel delivery problem. Would be a perfect donar car Dunno where exactly in the NE you are so this might not be feasible but thought I would offer it up anyhow. Here is a link with details: http://usmb.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5337
  16. This is awsome information and I thank you for finding it and posting!
  17. Yep actually saw one on the highway on my home comute. First time ever! White RX in respectable order. Rust wasnt bad for a MN car. Funny thing was an older woman was driving it. Must have liked the 'full time fourwheel drive" and stylish good looks!
  18. TomRhere: I hear you man. What's sad is you finally do buy an ABS plastic one becuase the fiber glass ones are just stupid expensive, get it in the mail, bust open the box only to find some very drunk individual cut and trimed the thing... I was angry >:|
  19. EA82's have a McPhearson strut with a cartraige inside up front.
