Dear Flow, I am the head adjuster for your insurance company and have just printed your tell-all account. Please expect a check for $2.95, the price of a can of Krylon. Yes, that's right. We're springing for the best for you. Enjoy. (Be careful what you write in a public forum).

How much would you pay for a head job?
Depends on how long it's been.

Amazing score
read the post, it says "5 pugs and a set of lugs for free."

All I can say is WOW!!
A retro Baja - kind of like The Beatles were Paul McCartney's first group. Those rides are beyond comparison. I hope they have some big insurance policies on them. Would hate to be reading about them like the thread of a few months back where there was a nasty, prolonged fight with an insurance companyover the "true" value of a brat.

Any quick tips to pass emissions tests?
Check the archives or do a search on this topic. There has been extensive verbage written on this that you will find very helpful instead of waiting for everyone to reply. Good luck.

Center hubs?
Thanks for the info. Sounds like I can use the ones that Snowman may have.

Center hubs?
Archemetis, tell me more. Are they just pressure fit by the wheel holding them in place? This is my first set of w/w's. I'm a newbie in this area.

Center hubs?
Oops, forgot. 1983 Brat - ea81. Clear cup? right now, the spindle nut with the cotter pin is sticking out of the (roughly) 3" hole in the center of the wagon wheel. My wheels feel naked, and I'm a bit concerned about slat/rust from the roads here this winter. Ideas appreciated.

Center hubs?
Just put some studded snows on the brat (no snow yet, just some heavy frost). Using some wagon wheels I got in the deal, but the center hubs are uglier than sin. Looking for suggestions for center hub covers on the wagon wheels. Thanks.

How do I dry out my car?
Schucks Auto. The closest one to you is on Debarr over by Costco. Either that one or on Muldoon a bit south of Fred Meyers. Did you cross the bridge at Buffalo Mine or continue past the parking area and across the river?

How do I dry out my car?
The herculiner rebate is good for 3 more days, but I think a quartwill probably do your job. But a quart is half the price of an entire gallon. Decisions. Where did you go bogging on Sunday? Saw you coming back into town sporting fresh mud.

AK-Brando,greetings. Good to see another Alaskan. Sorry you couldn't get together with us the other day. It was a good time. If you get to town, let us know - we'll put together another meet and greet.

Dilemma: too nice to part out?
You're right, that looks like a pretty sweet ride (from here). The rule of thumb I'd use is: if you can make it go before it turns to rust, keep it. Otherwise, the parts could be better used in circulation - either in your ride(s), or for sale to others on the board. Good luck either way. And welcome to the board.

Saturday at my house??
If it's really good video, how about burning a copy and sending it off to interested parties. I, for one, would pay for shipping and costs to see video of board members ripping it up in their rigs. Wish I lived closer, but ... naw, it wouldn't be Alaska. Guess I just have to sacrifice some things.

Weber carb info needed

Jonathan, I can pick you up, we can come to your place, we could meet at mine, go to Anchorage to meet with Kelly... doesn't matter to me. Name it, we'll work around your situation. We're mobile.

I love weber! (another question added)
Snowman, PM me with the details of your Weber - where did you get it, how much did it cost, how dofficult was it to install, and most importantly - is it a kick a-- running machine now? Also, let's plan a meet and greet. I posted a notice in the meet and greet forum, but no responses. yet. I think Jon in Eagle River must be out of town. Thanks

Alaska meet and greet
Been trying to get a meet and greet together in Alaska - there must be more than the three I know of - so I thought I'd try here. The PM route isn't working. If interested, let's set up a time and date.

First Post -- '83 Brat six hours away, and I don't know if it'll make it.
Buy it, insure it, and put the roadside assistance portion of the insurance on it. If it breaks down on the way back, have it towed to your house on the insurance company's dime, then cancel the roadside insurance once you get it home.
