  1. So i had one made for my 6 inch lifted BRAT but I think I had ADF make it too long and it was super jumpy and finally stripped out while I was driving down the road the other day. Does anyone have one laying around I could buy or could someone help me determine the length of the extension needed.
  2. Not the hero we deserve, but the hero we need.
  3. If you're only doing a 2 inch lift there is no need to extend your steering shaft or your brake lines. I have a 6 inch lift and just clipped the line holders and tied them up with bailing wire, works flawlessl, It's not addressed because it's very easy to do yourself ADF is just around the corner from you (Sandy, Oregon) has good competeing prices and he's awesome, 100% recommend him
  4. YOU'RE NOT MY SUPERVISOR!!!
  5. I'm very very excited to see where this goes
  6. dude that thing is sweet. how much did you pick it up for?
  7. If you're trying to press the piston back into the caliper you're not going to get anywhere. Our calipers are twist release calipers meaning that you have to grab a pair of pliers, grab the little middle nub and twist clockwise or counter clockwise
  8. HAH, that was a beautifully crafted burn sir
  9. let him do what he wants, no point in being a sour puss. Hubs are easy to find Skishop
  10. HAH! i didnt even notice, i was too busy oogling the body
  11. i dont think they ever put the D/R 5 speed in these.

  13. dude!!!! that thing is beautiful, how much did you score it for? as far as swaps go, a 5 speed swap wouldn't hurt, our man Jerry ( Bratsrus) has a sweet kit that keeps everything looking stock for around 100, and then there's the good old ej22 swap which a few of our members have parts for, http://andersondesign-fab.com/ and http://www.sjrlift.com/ , if you go for a lift, which both of those sites have, there's nothing wrong with a nice 6 lug redrill, and last but not least if you happen to have a gl-10 laying around, you can do the ever loved rear disc brake swap which is somewhat painless. I'll search around and get you some links for all of these, and again congrats on that BRAT.
  14. Alright so the legacy is about 5.5 inches wider(2.75 on each side) someone took the crossmember so I couldn't measure that out, but that doesn't seem to bad, nothing rolled fenders and a nice offset couldn't fix
  15. DISCLAIMER: If you're just going to say please don't chop up this car/this is going to be too hard you just shouldn't do it/really anything that isn't constructive advise on what I should do, please don't say anything at all So I currently have a 78 wagon in almost perfect condition that I would love to turn into a sleeper, I have a connection for a 1st gen turbo legacy that I'm going to strip for parts and I have a couple questions on this; 1.since I want awd would it be absolutely impossible to swap ej crossmember, arms, blah blah blah so that I wouldn't have to make custom axles + I would gain the strength of ej axles and have a decently wide stance, I know I need to get under my car and really check spoob out but I want know if some has done it before 2. No matter what I want an ej tranny, so should I find a 1st gen legacy 5 speed or should I upgrade to a 6 speed, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to give it a slight lift/crossmember drop to fit this under the car though, which is fine since I want some wider racing tires so I'm not slipping every time I gun it. 3. Is a turbo swap any different from a base ej22 swap, cut everything that isn't in the engine bay correct? Anyway, I'm super excited to begin this
  16. whoops i meant extending the steering shaft and dropping the x-member down to match the lift
  17. from what i've read an extension is not necessary, but it will lengthen the life of your axles. if you just switch from an ea81 knuckle to an ea82 knuckle that should give you an extra inch though
  18. oh my god, it's just so good. i hate how much i want one of these beauties
  19. Also the reason it doesn't have performance mods is because it's not a performance engine, if you want more power with good economy then the only reasonable answer would be to ej it. Super chargers destroy gasoline Turbo chargers limit your engines life span Taking it to an engine shop for a power build costs roughly around the same as a swap yet still has nowhere near the power My 2 cents are if you want real power with good economy and reliability, ej your car. Also if you're saying all off is before driving an ej'd ea series car, I would maybe go ask around and feel just how awesome it is
  20. No reason to be a jackass tweety, was just checking. Also you should scroll back a page and look at jeseks proper reply
  21. Didn't we just have a thread regarding this?
  22. Any updates/pictures?
