  2. I popped my head under the car. Blue is lifted, it allows acess to the plugs, but not the rack so much. The oddest thing It stopped leaking. I am going to take it to the car wash and wash the underneath but i no longer smell PS fluid burning. I haven had to add fluid in a month or so (it was every 3 weeks). I am still getting a rack as i know i need one before winter, but this would buy me so much breathing room.
  3. Yes, or a bad vacume hose or vacum leake, but I woulod start ate the IAV as 1000 is way to high. I had that and it was the IAC, just mone wouldnt stall, but got down to 400 rpm
  4. On the JB they seem fine unless something wears in the suspension then they start to rub. I have no issues with this. I may even be able to get them used locally. I am not a fan of used tires but this is FWD and much cheaper then 50.00 + recycling fee + valve + balance. Uswd tire places here thro in the stems for free
  5. Got to love the Justy board, No yes and maybe is the answer. Dusty's Justys are iffy. Like i said i may call and if it is 20.00 for four (personally I wouldnt put them on craiglist if they were that little, i would just scrap them) and get them...unless someone else has a source for 13 inch tires that dont cost 90.00
  6. Though for 20.00 for four tires i may just try it.
  7. inner and outer tie rods are new, I have all the specialty wrenches for hoses (without needing a BMF Wrench) and expect other fights. The knuckle had been removed 5 years ago for a lift so its not like it had a happy home since 1997
  8. mmmmm roadkill The Justy tires are no longer available as you other 13 inch tire drivers know. There is a Justy tire sheet but it isnt really clear on how it fits. I am not grinding up a pristine justy.
  9. if thats the OD difference then it shhould work. I can get those tires on craigslist for 20.00 for four.
  10. The stock tire is 165/65R13 will P175/70R13 tires fit on a 1989 subaru justy GL (13 inch wheels). I knw the difference in tire sizes, that is differnt from the actual clearance.
  11. Im looking for 13s that dont cost an arm and a leg
  12. CLear all the codes, if they come back look for a common denomintaor. From what i see, the NSS is disconnected. The O2 sensor is disconnected VSS is disconnected In other words, a harness is not plugged in properly or broken
  13. Blu has a jdm gauge, its metric, but i know the numbers. If you put in the gauge, you read the gauge. idiot lights really dont mean anything as people ignore them too unless they have buzzers.
  14. i think he is 95.00 an hour, but i screwed up and am broke on paper and have to fix that over the rest of the year. Blu needs a rack otherwise he wont pass inspection. i may just get a used one to cut down on cost.
  15. Ok but i have the process correct, and is there soemthing i am missing that it takes so long?
  16. WHen the clutch pressed to floor pressurized fluid moves through the system and moves the presure plate to disenage the clutch disc and disconnect the transmission from the engine. An engaged clutch the pressure plate is pressing against the clutch disc and power is sent to the transmission. A clutch pedal on the floor with no clutch disengagement will be due to a failure of hydraulic system. This would make it impossible to get into gear while the car is running.
  17. A leaking hydraulic cylinder would not allow the clutch to fully disengage, this would make it hard to shift.
  18. Sometimes you need an analog meter (cheapo at raioshack) as a fluke cant always pick things up. Do you have a ow enough range on the fluke (I amgine you do). How are you checking. With the altenator, with a bad diode set you should be having a charge issue. What is the voltage at the battery when the car is running. You can pull all the fuses overnight and see if you stil have a drain.
  19. Pull the codes. A tuneup is over due (plugs wires filters pcv valve) The popping sounds can be ping, which woudl indicate a non responsive knock sensor. Lets start with a full tuneup first for giggles when was the timing belt replaced last
  20. This has happened a few times on this board. usualy a fuseable link or major (under the hood) fuse goes poof.
