  1. Bump for the montana meet. Is the 31st of december cool with everyone?
  2. This is what a freind and I did over the weekend. We took the stock wagon into the snow to test out the new tires. It did actually really good on hill climbs and deep snow, but it couldn't make it through this. We had to dig it out three different times until we could get back onto the trail. Anybody got any DEEP snow pics?
  3. It in avi. I tried zipping it but that only took off a little bit.
  4. Its 880MB. Pretty big. Is that too big?
  5. I finished up editing the teaser for my suby movie. I need a place to put it on the web where people can download it(right click"save as"). So people don't have to find it on the web to view it. Any suggestions? Thanks
  6. Word! that's some good lookin rock.
  7. Yes I think you got the bug allright. Once you get your lift what kind of rims are you gonna run?
  8. I got my first carnage over the weekend. I was trying to pose on this car that was upside down. Instead of going at it at an angle to pose wheel travel, I tried to drive straight up onto it. Well my approach angle wasn't quite enough. My skidplate smacked the metal of the car and bent a wee bit. Nothin a hammer couldn't fix. Lets see some more pics of subaru carnage. I know a lot of you got dents and scratches and scars, so lets see em. P.S-singletrack I want to see that pic of your skidplate crunched.
  9. I'm glad someone gives the suby respect. Especially on a rock krawlin forum.
  10. Meh. Looks good, but you would be WAY better off with a lift. More clearance for tires, and keeps suspension geometry the same. I'm not quite sure on this but, when you put a spacer on your rear shock and no where else that puts more angle on the axles. With a lift kit they have the spacer for the shock and the differential hanger and the torsion bar, therefore keeping the suspension the same. The way you have it is okay, but it is putting more strain on your axles. Also with the addition of bigger tires it probably putting even more strain on your axles.(having to push bigger tires with more angle on the axles) just my $0.02
  11. I'll probably be able to make it this year. I'll be bringing my XT6 of course. Im a dragon virgin too.
  12. Okay how about a new years meet. The weekend of the 31 of december. Is that date cool with everyone if not lets make it happen.
  13. I put them on for looks at first, but now there not on there beacsue I have huge tires that'll rub with the flares on.
  14. I got my fender flares for my wagon off a 1981 VW Jetta. I had to do some trimming, but not much. Heres a pic
  15. My 1989 XT6 does the brake chatter when its cold, but no other time. I think its normal.
  16. Word. Even with my automatic seatbelts in the XT6 I still use the lap belt fairly often, especially when going on a rally trip or highway.
  17. Maybe I should just leave my muffler off...............maybe not. Eventually I'm gonna get a full exhaust with a magnaflow.
  18. That's so cool. Maybe one day I'll build a rally hatch.
  19. No it wasn't that camera, but the one I used was pretty crappy. Horrible audio and bad resolution. I need to splinter cell my work camera for a weekend sometime.
  20. No. Unless you want more power. If you get bigger tires it takes away from your gearing. Making it feel like you lost some power, but not much.
  21. Yeah my muffler fell off a while ago so it sounds pretty haggard.
  22. Yeah the suby just blasted through that DEEP part of the pit. That mud pit is actually a block from my work so I hit it a lot.
