2.2-2.5 hybrid build up.
i agree some what with the 50 shot being a bad idea.. it will be the last option.... as for the f/t box, i want to be able to buy tires in 2's not 4's i would rather have the 2wd,4wd,4wdlow box vs the ft dr5speed, as for idlers just buy new ones... there cheep. like 26 bucks each if you have connections.(if you need some hit me up) but yea like qman said use the newist ones... any input on the water injection?? after reading about it i think it may be the ticket even if i dont need premium.....

2.2-2.5 hybrid build up.
skip, i would use ej22 idlers as the blocks are the same as for the placement of the idlers. also use the ej22 tenshioner you can unbolt the peace that the tenshioner bolts to and replace the junk 2.5 one with the ej22 one. the ej25 ones are junk as im shure you know... not shure about the intake but ill ask a local shop that dos 2-5 ej22 swaps into ej25 cars every week.. as for the closed deck thing, or headgasket isures im not worried i will be using a phase 2 ej25 and they have external leaks not internal ones like the phase 1 motors did even if i have to do headgaskets every 50k thats fine also if the compresion is high enough to require the use of 90+ octane then im just going to go with water/meth injection......

2.2-2.5 hybrid build up.
ive looked on NASIOC some and on here but no one seems to be able to say what the final compresion ratio will be.... i would agree that if its hi comp with a large shot of nos then its a bad idea.....

2.2-2.5 hybrid build up.
ok so my imp with the swampers on it feals a little weak, dont get me wrong it will still drive 80mph and with the pp6 i have coming it should be better but i need more even if i do the dr 5speed swap. so these are my plans, anyone ever done anything like it. 2.5 block... 2.2 dual port heads. obx header. delta cams and a 50shot of nos. anyway any input would help.. thanks

impy got new treds
zap ill get you some pix of the bumper in the next day or so.... the doors are bolted. they only take about 10 min to pull and fit snugly in the back. but ill be doing 4 half doors as im loseing about 50lbs per front door by going to half doors..... i would like a little bit of lift 2in or so. i dont want any bigger tires as these are big enough to do what i do.....

impreza's only....
i thought it would be cool to bring all the imps together for some fact tradeing and idea swaping along with fab junk and other imp only stuff.... there are so many threads that i thought we might consolidated some by makeing one thread just about imps.....anyway.... first off here is my car.... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=12355&cat=500&ppuser=679 its a 98 obs 5 speed with 99 OB stuts and springs(imp stut tops) in the rear and 97 ob struts springs and tops in the front....... things im working on camber adjustment in the rear and ob legacy rear disk brakes.... also LSD for the rear... i have a 3.9 vlsd but would like a 3.7 lsd to do the swap with... one note all 2000 and newer ouback limiteds and CW(cold weather package equiped) outbacks have LSD also all oback sedans... now autos are 4.44 and manuals are 4.11. i would assume all turbos are lsd also but havnt checked the books yet.... anyway there are a few of you out there what say you.

decking the block
just wondering, everyone talkes about decking the head on ea cars to raise the compresions.... why not deck the motor and leave the head alone the reason being to keep the head material as thick as possilbe.. anyway just a thought...

Aluminum Pullys
from talking to the machinest today i think that ajustible cam pullys are going to be expensive also the are going to weigh more i think if you want to make ajustible cam pullys your better off sloting the holes that are already there and just tightning the bolts tight enough to keep them from moving or drilling a small hole in the cam and pully and puting a stud in t once you find the position you want..... as for ajustable cam pullys i think the price would be in the 300+ range. if done right...
-
Aluminum Pullys
ok so i got prices.... if i get 100 made.(50 of each ea81 ea82) then they come to about 85 bucks which should cover flat rate shipping in the lower 48,,, this is for a standard pully im not even going to look into underive pullys.... some thing i didnt think about though is ea81t pullys are relly light 1lb14 3/8oz oz ea82s are 1lb 15 1/8oz now some parts are papeer thin and would require the aluminum to be thinker so im not shure if the wight savings would come through with added thinkness..... but im only running one belt, im going to get another qoute for taking our stock steel pullys and shaving the extra grove off..... which should be darn cheep and should make them lighter....... so a summery,, ea81 pullys if i order 50 will be 85ish, and may not weight much less ea82 pullys if i order 50 will be 85 ish and " " " """""""""""""""""""""""" i think i can get the normal pullys cut down for around 15 bucks which would offer a much better bang for the buck,,,, if you want to run power stearing then get an Toyota mr pump there electric and can be swithced on and off.....
