  1. Locks the center diff to force power 50/50 front to rear. The pictures of that grey RX are sick!!! Thats the exact same color I will have mine painted. -Brian
  2. Im going to have some spacers fabricated to lift it about .5" Then we'll see what happens. I dont like the fact I can no longer hit speed bumps at 35mph. -Brian
  3. Strut bars are easy to install. A small file should help modify the bolt holes if things dont line up right. Only problem is, the strut bar will get in the way of your intercooler. Or your intercooler in the way of the strut bar. -Brian
  4. Find me some in 4x140 Brad. -Brian
  5. Maybe im doing it wrong then. I used a breaker bar at 1st, then the backend of my pickle fork. Then I used my baseball bat. The tires are 205/50R15's -Brian
  6. Yeah Dave I know. I guess no more off-road runs in the RX anymore huh. -Brian
  7. I think i'll take off the 15" alloys and put these on: Maybe powdercoated white to match the RX. -Brian
  8. Thanks morgan. Too bad i cant brake hard, or enter a turn. -Brian
  9. Yeah, i already rolled the fenders. Then i bottomed out again, it caught the fender and bent the lip down. Then proceeded to tear into my tire. I think im gonna break out the diegrinder and do alittle work. -Brian
  10. I installed the GR2's I got from the XT today. I think it maybe too low. The tires rub when ever I hit a bump. Sucks cause I really messed up my drivers side front tire. Also, the drivers side seems lower than the passenger side. I will keep the springs from my RX struts and put them in the GR2's to try to stiffen it up alittle. But I think i will also work on some sort of lift to try to gain alittle more tire clearance. Looks alot better than before IMO though. And here is my tire now There are more pictures here: http://gallery.usmb.net/album34 -Brian
  11. Wether to use sealant or not is gasket specific. Some gaskets require a specific sealant and will usually come with it. Others are designed not to use a sealant and if you do you will actually make it easier for the gasket to fail. I would have read any instructions included with your head gasket set. I did a set on EA81 and bought some sealent that was rated for use with the gaskets I had purchased. The gaskets were FelPro from Napa. -Brian
  12. I dont know if I'd throw fruit into them Soobmater. Probably project some vomit that way however. I guess i wouldnt mind seeing some spinners on something like this: -Brian
  13. Thanks caleb. I was just looking at your car, I dont know about your adjustable setup tho...those springs look pretty skinny. Im going to take the springs from the RX struts and put them on the KYB's. If worse comes to worse I dont mind cutting alittle from the front and rear of the fender. I do know where to get some XT6 swaybars, but I will see how these struts perform before I start adding more. Dont need overkill. -Brian
  14. the tire calculator sais my tires are only .2" taller than yours Brad. I think i will be safe. -Brian
  15. You can get the spinning hubcaps in 13" but we're talking about chromed rims, the real deal. -Brian
  16. Portland has some boonies. Im sure there is plenty of unpopulated space around the river and whatnot. -Brian
  17. I didnt miss the part where you mentioned the roads were wet. And even in 4WD all 4 tires couldnt even get traction. The roads could have been deserted, but there was one other driver on the street with you. The WRX, and it only takes one stupid mistake.... well, nevermind. Im not your dad. -Brian
  18. Lucky you didnt kill anybody. Next time save it for the track. -Brian
  19. Maybe i'll just put 13" alloys on it. Then i'd be cool like brad -Brian
  20. You should come up here and... "get me". I will have the Sacramento subie crowd here... ready to laugh at your spinners too. Naw, but honestly... you arent far. Me and the guys are planning a bay area meet. We'll keep you informed. -Brian
  21. If your going to put Spinners on a Suby.... Manteca is the place to do it -Brian
  22. What is it Brad? Waiting till he does it so you know you can too!! You should beat him to it Brad, then you'll be teh coolest with the spinning of the rims and whatnot. And... i dont think you can do it. 18" rims would be too big, but you could always get some tires like 225/10R18 or something -Brian
  23. NOOO!!!! I just spent $300 on tires, $100 on the rims and $50 for these GR2's. I'll just frankenstien something. Your no help brad -Brian
  24. Rolling fenders wont work when the tires stick out beyond them. I'd need to cut the fenders :X -Brian
  25. Goto Napa and get a fuel pump and radiator cap. Junkyard pieces are not trustworthy. The windshield trim I can do. You know how to reach me So guys.... are we shooting for a tuesday or wednesday? Jeremy, your working nights now right??? Hows your schedule looking? -Brian
