  1. 1st rule when off-roading is NEVER GO ALONE! ive had to learn the hard way more than once. Sure, you can have a winch, shovel, cell phone... but something might happen where you need a 2nd person. -Brian
  2. I remember that Flowmastered I think it was john who pulled you out. I even have it on tape, Eric taped it. -Brian
  3. Anything that has an instruction manual that was sketched on a napkin at Denny's would make me think twice. http://www.spiralmax.com/images/smi1.jpg -Brian
  4. Adapter plates sound better. I think i may go that route. -Brian
  5. Im not gonna be able to make it. -Brian btw... the brat is faster hehehe
  6. I have some even better pictures of Tim stuck at WCSS3 -Brian
  7. Yeah, we'll need somebody at the finish line waiting with iced tea hehehe -Brian
  8. I need to create an accout for you for the gallery. I'll create one for you right now. Keep an eye on your personal messages, i'll message you with your account info. -Brian
  9. You betchya Shannon. You are my direct competition. After helping you pull those parts for your wagon i've decided I cannot leave you alone in the EA81 Subaru Motorsport world. Cant do the auto rally next month... car wont be don't be done by the. Projected estimated time of completion is March 2004. Thats a goal of some sort. -Brian
  10. True, your correct. But we are vearing off topic. Miles is trying to inform us of his new car he purchased. Also, the events surrounding Mile's legal situation are trying to be avoided at the request of miles himself. It was a topic brought up on the old board. So, lets try not to bring it up with every single topic Mile's discusses... unless he messages the board from jail again (which we ALL hope doesnt need to happen). -Brian
  11. It wont pass. The engine im planning on building for this car has no chance in hell of ever passing California state smog. But i am not going to modify the EA81 thats in the brat. Im going to build a completely different engine, and keep the existing EA81 stock for smog issues etc... -Brian
  12. Yeah, im not going to look for people to race. But I want to turn this brat into something fast. Maybe something on the rally circuit, or tarmac racing My main goal is to get it prepped and race either at Sears Point or Laguna Seca. I know they have day's where the average joe can pay to race there. -Brian
  13. No, the roomate still has the EA81 Wagon. I am actually considering selling my wagon to modify my Brat. The brat will be getting a completly built engine. It will be my street car, and hopefully it will blow other riced out honda's off the line. The hood is not a consideration. Hell, i can goto the junk yard and get a hood to do this to for $20. The car will end up painted and body work performed anyways... so that is not a big worry. And it will be functional. It will supply air to my air intake. -Brian
  14. Whats the point in having a license, if you dont have a car to drive Anyhow, we're bringing back crap from the past that should be left at the old board. Glad to have you back miles, and good to see you got another ride. Be careful with this one. Im sure there was a lesson learned. Too bad its a secret tho. finish it soon so we can see some pix. -Brian
  15. Thats not stuck in the mud!!! THIS! Is stuck in MUD. -Brian
  16. Adam... I requested the time off today. Good news is, that weekend has not been blocked yet, and its still available. Bad news is, i dont get vacation time until Sept 9th, so I cannot reserve it until then. -Brian
  17. Suprised the heads are not cracked??? Ok, is it a turbo? Its a manual? if it is a turbo, its not a EA81T. -Brian
  18. Kevin, the hood is not 100%. Dave, when was the last time you ever saw me keep anything "stock"?? HAHAH Corky. It will be a functional scoop. This is the scoop i am thinking about using after my CIS conversion. Since the CIS intake will be mounted where the spare tire is, i would preffer not to suck in hot engine air. I want to block off most of the rear of the engine bay, mount the CIS in there, run PVC to an external EFI Air Filter Box, and have it snug against the hood... where the scoop will be located. I have done measurements, and drawn it all out on graph paper. Just getting user opinions. I like the bottom one better (the shorter scoop). Something just doesnt look right with the elongated one. And to answer everybody's question, yes... the bottom one has been photoshop'd. Right now, the scoop is the long picture... i was thinking of cutting it down alittle to make it look better. Thanks all -Brian
  19. One of these is a PhotoShop'd image. I'll let you guys guess which one. But the scoop is real, and i was thinking of mounting it on my brat. Which one of these looks better? -Brian
  20. Where have you seen one Phatbrat? -Brian
  21. Well aluminum shavings cannot be good for your engine. Might wanna get one of those cool vacuum atatchments for keyboards, and suck as much of that as you can. -Brian
  22. In alaska when i was real young. My babysitter drove a Subaru Wagon. I believe it was a '84 because i remember the headlights always looked like delorian lights. Anyhow, i vaugly remember some sort of level and pitch meter. Have never seen a Subaru since that had one. And that was including 4 years of owning and driving them in Alaska. Oh, and ive never seen or heard of a Brat GL10. There are Turbo Brat's that came almost fully loaded. But they were badged as GL's. -Brian
  23. John called me at 3:45pm looking for Adam's phone number. When I asked, he said he was still in Eugene, planning on leaving at 4:15pm estimated. -Brian
