  1. Me and im trying to get Andrew to join us. I told him there's a spare seat in my car if he wanted to go. Im planning on leaving Thursday the 18th from Sacramento, and that would put me in Grants Pass (or the area) late thursday afternoon or night. Still need to do alot of work to my wagon 1st tho. -Brian
  2. If your on an incline, and you have the brake pushed in all the way, keep your foot on the clutch and it will hold the pressure in the line without your brakes on. In order to release it, just let up off of the clutch. Next time, leave the car in nutral and engage the hill holder. Then without your foot on the brakes, just let off of the clutch and it should release the pressure and the car will roll backwards. Do not do that if there's a car behind you Also. The hill holder only works if the front of your car is pointed uphill. It will not work to keep your car from rolling downhill face first -Brian
  3. Battle Wagon... when I go hauling rump roast 35mph down a rock trail, the last thing i need to worry about is my front sway bars. I didnt even think about the wheel hop thing. Hrm.... ok, answers my question. -Brian
  4. Everyone should be able to see them now. I had the settings screwed up. That black diamond looks sweet. Only the 2nd one i know about, and have seen. Chef Tim had a Black DIamond that was bought by Subaru Bob. I think that was 10/100... cant remember. -Brian
  5. What if we drop our diff another inch or 2. I know we'll be loosing ground clearance, but at the expense of gaining better articulation. -Brian
  6. Thats a pic of my wagon with everything. Only mod is the lift and tires. Miles, its scary travelling at 70mph and hitting a bump with no rear shocks. I know you need it for control, but on the trail when top speeds are aproaching 15mph, i dont think it matters much. -Brian
  7. I was wondering if it would help the rear end of our subies if we removed the shocks. When I 1st put the lift in, i ran it for about a week with no rear shocks and it was real bouncy. After trips like this: It makes me wonder if it would make a difference. Maybe coupled with no front swaybar. -Brian
  8. Get some 13" alloys and some sticky tires. I had a set of 205/60R13 old racing tires a friend got from Sears Point. Without power steering they're a bitch to turn, but they dont slip. And 13" Alloys should be alot lighter than those pUg's -Brian
  9. 1st rule when off-roading is NEVER GO ALONE! ive had to learn the hard way more than once. Sure, you can have a winch, shovel, cell phone... but something might happen where you need a 2nd person. -Brian
  10. I remember that Flowmastered I think it was john who pulled you out. I even have it on tape, Eric taped it. -Brian
  11. Anything that has an instruction manual that was sketched on a napkin at Denny's would make me think twice. http://www.spiralmax.com/images/smi1.jpg -Brian
  12. Adapter plates sound better. I think i may go that route. -Brian
  13. Im not gonna be able to make it. -Brian btw... the brat is faster hehehe
  14. I have some even better pictures of Tim stuck at WCSS3 -Brian
  15. Yeah, we'll need somebody at the finish line waiting with iced tea hehehe -Brian
  16. I need to create an accout for you for the gallery. I'll create one for you right now. Keep an eye on your personal messages, i'll message you with your account info. -Brian
  17. You betchya Shannon. You are my direct competition. After helping you pull those parts for your wagon i've decided I cannot leave you alone in the EA81 Subaru Motorsport world. Cant do the auto rally next month... car wont be don't be done by the. Projected estimated time of completion is March 2004. Thats a goal of some sort. -Brian
  18. True, your correct. But we are vearing off topic. Miles is trying to inform us of his new car he purchased. Also, the events surrounding Mile's legal situation are trying to be avoided at the request of miles himself. It was a topic brought up on the old board. So, lets try not to bring it up with every single topic Mile's discusses... unless he messages the board from jail again (which we ALL hope doesnt need to happen). -Brian
  19. It wont pass. The engine im planning on building for this car has no chance in hell of ever passing California state smog. But i am not going to modify the EA81 thats in the brat. Im going to build a completely different engine, and keep the existing EA81 stock for smog issues etc... -Brian
  20. Yeah, im not going to look for people to race. But I want to turn this brat into something fast. Maybe something on the rally circuit, or tarmac racing My main goal is to get it prepped and race either at Sears Point or Laguna Seca. I know they have day's where the average joe can pay to race there. -Brian
  21. No, the roomate still has the EA81 Wagon. I am actually considering selling my wagon to modify my Brat. The brat will be getting a completly built engine. It will be my street car, and hopefully it will blow other riced out honda's off the line. The hood is not a consideration. Hell, i can goto the junk yard and get a hood to do this to for $20. The car will end up painted and body work performed anyways... so that is not a big worry. And it will be functional. It will supply air to my air intake. -Brian
  22. Whats the point in having a license, if you dont have a car to drive Anyhow, we're bringing back crap from the past that should be left at the old board. Glad to have you back miles, and good to see you got another ride. Be careful with this one. Im sure there was a lesson learned. Too bad its a secret tho. finish it soon so we can see some pix. -Brian
  23. Thats not stuck in the mud!!! THIS! Is stuck in MUD. -Brian
