  1. I run 27" tires wouldnt go bigger for hill climbing does your car have a dual range
  2. on those blocks I could produce a hybred block with a ea81 Top with the EA82 bottom, that way the stock EA82 strut and strut tops could be used , be 5" or 3-1/2" tall with the tooling I presently have , or tool up for a 4" SJR
  3. how do you like having the front diff welded ? whats it handle like with both front and rear locked up?
  4. details and pictures of damage would be nice
  5. thats great Rollie keep up the good work, hey Noah check out this autobody technique http://www.loghomefamily.org/subaru/videos/WalkerApr06NoahDirt1_Low.wmv :brow:
  6. I tried a honda and a toyota rim both have the right pattern but the center hole is to small hits on the front but not the back hub
  7. well you and Mosey and anyone else that needs to get ready . ....Do it next trip is open to all soobies
  8. had this other thought maybe run a cable from say the bumper mount back to the front radius rod bolt , then the force might transfer threw the cable and prevent the bar from bending
  9. even stock angle bends
  10. sounds like it should be easy to find a set, I have a set of 13" snow tires I wanted to run this winter thanks everyone,
  11. stiff Yes ,it would only want to give just befor the point of were the radius rod would bend
  12. so last night was shop night , Dylan says " I was so bummed I didnt make it " when is the next trip?, I say well lets get yours and Mosiahs car going first then we will set a date , so look for a trip say in 3 or 4 weeks same place Saturday 10:00 walker Valley  SJR
  13. picked up 87 2WD Justy it has 12" wheels wondering if theres 13" rims avalible for this car?
  14. well Ive bent the radius rod twice on one car and once on another had this idea of modifying the stock rod , basically free up the plate that pushes against the rubber donut , add a heavy spring onto the rod and welding up another plate at the other end of the spring, what this would do is absorb the shock of hitting into a obsticle , the tire would come back into contact with the inner fender well which threw the tire would adsorb more shock, I want to fab 2 up and put them on my present rig
  15. I have found 27" tires max for a EA82 with stock gearing , its still to high geared, if you want " big ole meets" go with the transfercase min lift 8", 10" is not unreasonable , with bigger tires and lower gears the axles and stub shafts will be under greater stress/failure myself Im building up a EA82 in the shop , it has a transfercase for lower gears will end up with 8 " or 9 " lift, will run 27"- 30" tires weight and lack of low gearing seem to be the biggest drawback with the stock setup now if you never want to crawl up steep hills and mainly stay on the flats stock gears and big tires are ok SJR
  16. yes see link http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showpost.php?p=514183&postcount=46
