when i had my filter on my 92 legacy, didn't get much for hp gain but it did change my throttle response for the better.gonna have to do some mods to get it to fit my 94cuz the abs systems in the way.byw who really needs abs anyway. -

Why do people hate Loyales?
subie94 replied to Phaedras's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
couple yrs back, i owned a 91 loyale. at the time i didn't realize that my insurance company wouldn't allow it on my policy cuz it had a salvage title to it.guess it hit a tree, pole or something. rad support split in half an only was brazed. -
mudrat.....how much would you charge $ for a lift for my 94??

i'd have to agree,the EA81 engine i had last,just couldn't kill it.not much on the hp but good torque:brow:

myself i'd see if there's a snorkel kit for another car that's a close fit an just go through the fender from the filter box on fuel injected engines. as far as carburated engines,i'm sure theres a way to hook up a intake tube to the snorkel kit.it's been awhile since i seen a carbed subaru engine, haven't owned one for awhile now. but were there's a will, there's a way:grin: oh yah forgot something, might want to also see about a second fender to replace the one with the hole you cut in it. btw,it's gonna sound strange but when you say(third eye light) what part r u talking about??

it was awhile bk but i could of sworn that i seen a legacy transmission that was dual range.has anyone else seen or heard of a legacy with dual range trans??? if so let me know cuze i had a 86 gl wagon with a dual range 5 spd. i miss it . sadly it was totaled couple yrs bk. i have a feeling that if there is a dual range out there for legacys,it'll be expensive

in my legacy(94) i have a yellow top spiral battery with about 900 total amps with 750 cold cranking amps.starts perfectly fine, normally on the second engine turn.that's with the temp being about neg 5 to 10.granted it's not the cheapest battery($180.00)but in the long run i wonder just how long it'll last.

plus hummers are monsters.. it would be interesting to see a solid axled subie, though i my self would stick with independent.but that's me.
