  1. this is normal. it even sates this in the manual.
  2. you're very wrong. the ej22 is a MUCH better and more reliable motor than the ea82. if you couldn't get more power out of it than your ea82, well....
  3. ..and id actually venture a guess that us folks in montucky probably have oh.. slightly more soobs than the tahoe area as well.. last sunday went hiking and at the trailhead there were 14 cars. 12 were soobs of all vintages. this is commonplace. and here in missoula we have 2 soob only shops. i do have to say portland has a ************-ton of soobs though. definitely.
  4. nice retraction..
  5. wait a sec. you mean that you paid 2200 for a car that needed 2500 in motor and tranny work? wow.
  6. its a cheap part. replace it.
  7. nope. i bought my 92 loyale about 4 years ago for 1200. Car was in VG+ shape when i bought it and only had 140,000 on her. ive since put a few character dents in her. Shew might not be pretty to some, but she is to me. That being said, you have waaaay too much $ invested in yours. Suede door panels? WTF?
  8. unfortunately, this is posted lower on the page.. mines a double post... toooo much holiday nog in these parts...
  9. oops, my apologies to the forum gods.. merry xmas
  10. Sweet hatch.... http://break.com/index/sweet-subaru-with-snow-tracks.html
  11. you just need to do the work yourself. you stated that you don't drive it much anyways, so if it takes you awhile to get it done, what does it matter? you complain about your dad's excuses, but it seems you have many of your own. clean the garage up, pull the car in and get on it. cheers.
  12. why aren't you driving your car? and i may be wrong, but i think you need to actually drive the car to get any moisture out as the motor won't get hot enough just idling there for a few minutes.
  13. y'know i hardly ever even switch into 4wd unless it gets REALLY sketchy. 2wd and decent tires works for me about 90% of the time.
  14. dexcool... bad stuff. f'd up my 96 chevy p/u..headgaskets went due to it. pure garbage. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/gm_dexcool.html
  15. not sure i understand this post. you have AWD in your loyale, but also have a 4wd button to push for when it gets really deep?
  16. not too hard to replace wood as needed
  17. page 4 of this thread. its in Missouri now. prolly one of my favorite rides on this board. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=81531&page=4&highlight=show+off
  18. this thread might help. no rust in the photo.. thread is 2 years old however.. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=47780&highlight=mountain+grizzly
  19. maybe those 2 12's in the trunk are vibrating the license plate.
  20. front end looks like my sisters 02 or 03 pontiac gran prix (which she recently replaced with an 07 outback)
